Summary

Electrical engineering PhD with a strong background in probability, statistics, signal processing, coding, and optimization with solid
skills and experiences in machine learning, deep learning, big data, NLP, and data analytics seeking a data science position.

Skills

● Software and Programming: Python, R, Matlab, C++, C, Java, OpenCV, CVX, Simulink, Verilog
● Deep Learning Libraries: Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch
● Data Analysis and Big Data: Pandas, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, ggplot2

Experiences

● Remote collaboration (2017-2018; in charge of data analysis) with a fellow data scientist on a paper proposing the
first-ever model to predict the number of monthly vegetation-related outages in power distribution lines. Achieved
normalized mean absolute error as low as 0.1 using a hybrid model of time series analysis and nonlinear regression.
● Research assistant (2014-Present) at University of California Riverside: Developed my research experience by
collaboration with excellent researchers in finding solutions to highly challenging quantitative problems such as
o System identification, statistical inference and modeling of wireless channels.
o Coding design to solve non-standard unstructured problems.
o Monte Carlo simulations and signal modeling to model real-world problems.
o Stochastic, deterministic, convex, and non-convex optimization problems.
● Internship (Summer 2015) as Assistant Researcher in Boise State University, Idaho on wireless communications.
