AGROCLIMATOLOGY
 Science that studies meteorological, climatic and hydrological conditions and their
relationship in production processes
 The climate is the main condition of the settlement and development of a community
in an area determined, in conjunction with other factors of type biological and
historical. The weather sums up the action integrated from a wide range of physical
agents.
 The climate is composed of elements such as radiation solar, temperature,
precipitation, humidity relative and the hundreds within these elements, the radiation
is the most important climatic element, since which is the source of energy of all other
processes biological and physical, conditions the 'energy luxuries within the
ecosystems and conditions the intensity and frequency of the other elements of the
climate.

Importance of agroclimatology in the different production

systems.
The agroclimatology applied to the main objective of agriculture is to capture, analyze
and interpretation of data from meteorological stations and after their analysis and
statistical study relate to the influence of different elements and climatic factors on
agricultural activities.

It is of great importance for the use and management of natural resources, as well as
the planning of the different activities agricultural and forestry.

On the other hand, climatological information is used to determine, analyze and fix
the factors that are adverse for agriculture, such as: frost, drought, temperatures
extreme, hail, wind, or rain torrential
Elements of climate and environmental inputs for plants
The environmental conditions exert a determining influence on the development and
productivity of the crop species. The basic inputs for the growth and development of plants
are:
Carbon dioxide.
Water.
The light
Temperature.
