A Simple Way to Contribute to Delta Gamma

Each of us made a commitment to membership for a lifetime during our new member process. Delta Gamma continues
to grow and prosper thanks to the valuable commitment of members like you. Local dues are the only source of income
for the Washington, DC Alumnae Chapter. We ask you to pay your annual dues so we can continue to plan and support
new and exciting events and continue to reach out to Delta Gamma women living in the D.C. area. Please support your
fellow Washington, DC Delta Gammas!
What you get for paying dues:
 Receive a special member rate to attend WDC DG chapter events.
 Receive a new member welcome packet full of DG goodies.
 Remain in good standing with the Fraternity and Executive Offices.
 Ensure you continue to receive a subscription to the ANCHORA.
 Support the programs and events of WDC DG, including Founders Day and the Holiday Tea.
 Feel good about "Doing Good" by supporting Delta Gamma's national philanthropy Service for Sight and WDC
DG's local philanthropy the Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind.
 Connect with other DGs on MyDG, Delta Gamma's own social network.
Become a WDC Delta Gamma member today! It’s only $45.00 to become a member of the DC alumnae chapter, and
that includes your per capita dues. That’s less than $4 per month! Questions? Contact Katie Novaria,
vpmembership@wdcdeltagamma.org. Pay online at: http://www.wdcdeltagamma.org/payform.html.

Collegiate Updates—Beta Epsilon and Beta Rho
Beta Epsilon now has 15 beautiful and talented New Members for the Fall 2010 class. Recruitment went very
smoothly and the entire chapter is thrilled to have such a great new group. Thank you to all alumnae who helped out and
the parties and with voting! Some more updates:
 Anchor Clanker is quickly approaching and will take place on the AU Main Quad on Oct. 2. More informa-
tion below. We would love to see you there!
 BE's semesterly Charity Denim event was a great success this semester and raised over $250.
 BE will be hosting a CDC visit from Sept. 28 through Oct. 4

A letter from the women of Beta Epsilon:

Dear Alumnae of Delta Gamma,

We hope that this letter finds you in good health and happiness as this fall approaches.

Here at American University, classes have now started and we are working diligently to plan our largest philanthropy
event of the year, Anchor Clanker. As most of you know, as an organization we support a philanthropy known as Service
for Sight, which works to offer aid to the visually impaired, increase awareness about blindness and prevention of visual
impairment, and provide services to those living with a visual disability.
Our annual Anchor Clanker event is a day of field day activities, where campus organizations can sign up a team to com-
pete for local prizes and the title of Anchor Clanker Champion 2010. Last year we raised over $3000 that we donated
directly to our Foundation to better the lives of those in need of help from Service from Sight.
This year, however, in order to do even more good, we are reaching out to those who are close to our chapter members,
as well as alumnae in the DC area. It is always the case that even the smallest donation, be it through monetary donation,
gift certificates to local stores/restaurants, or volunteering during the day of our event, can do wonders to raise awareness
and profits for our cause.
We would greatly appreciate anything you could donate to our event. We are hoping for a general donation of $10, and
those who donate anything over $50 will be thanked publically at the conclusion of our field day, before the winning team
is announced. In addition, if you are interested in attending or volunteering during the event, please contact Kristen. Let
us assure you that 100% of every donation we receive from family, friends, or Alumnae will go directly to the Delta
Gamma Foundation. Please make checks out to ―Delta Gamma‖, and mail them to 4820 Earlston Drive, Bethesda, MD
20816.

Thanks so much for your time. DO YOU HAVE AN INTEREST IN SERVING ON THE
BETA RHO HOUSE CORPORATION BOARD????
Kristen Cleveland If you have an interest in a position on the Beta Rho (George Washington Uni-
Vice President of Foundation versity) Board of Directors please contact Debbie Osburne, President
(dosburne2001@yahoo.com). We are looking for a few more Alumnae to work
Annie Lovoi as elected members of the Board. Terms are for 3 years and each member of
Director of Anchor Clanker the board sits on either the Housing Committee (oversees maintenance/upkeep
of the house) or the Furnishing Committee (works on the future decorative
Lily Emamian look of the house) to ensure the Townhouse at GWU is always looking its best.
Director of Alumnae Relations The board meets, in person, 4 to 5 times a year and the rest of the time we cor-
respond via email. Looking forward to hearing from you!
