Proposition:

Resolved that the military be allowed to use propaganda in school - AFFIRMATIVE

Suggested Arguments:

1. Necessity

a) Allowing the military to use propaganda in school is necessary due to an impending need
for a wider counter-propaganda to the breeding insurgent propaganda of the armed rebel
groups

b) Allowing the military to use propaganda in school is necessary to inculcate the values of
nationalism and patriotism when today’s time has proven such values to be dwindling
considering further that the state has affirmed that "Youth" is the critical period in a
person's growth and development.

c) Allowing the military to use propaganda in school is necessary as it is also the youth’s
duty, as citizens, to defend the country. This can be achieved through the use of
age-appropriate and balanced modules regarding the status of national defense

2. Beneficiality

a) Allowing the military to use propaganda in school will assist the schools in their
constitutional duty to inculcate patriotism and nationalism, x x x appreciation of the role
of national heroes in the historical development of the country, teach the rights and
duties of citizenship, x x x and develop moral character and personal discipline

b) Allowing the military to use propaganda in school will assist in preventing the enlistment
of children fighters by the armed rebel groups

3. Practicability

a) Allowing the military to use propaganda in school is practicable as the Military, being
tasked to lead national defense is in the best position to educate on the duty of the
citizen to defend the state and the values of patriotism and nationalism

b) Allowing the military to use propaganda in school is practicable as the youth’s role is
considered vital to nation building.
