You are on page 1of 1

Bissan, I have noticed that you had been showing keen interest in art activities eg.

drawing,
painting, colouring, cutting, pasting etc. There are many evidence in your profile book. Here is
another example. When you arrived in the classroom the other day, you came straight to the art
table as you wanted to colour something. You said, “I want to colour flower”. So I gave you a
piece of paper with flowers in it. You sat at a table for a long time to colour this picture. You
were concentrating so well, MashaAllah!. You were so absorbed in your work that you didn’t
notice that all the children were tiding up to get ready for mat time. However, I asked other
children not to disturb you.
When you finished colouring you cut around this picture of flower. I was surprised to see how
you manoeuvred the scissors so well to cut around the flower. It’s a bit tricky to cut around in
different shapes but you managed that very well. When you finished cutting you wanted to fix
the flower in a stick, and that’s what you did. Bissan, you have worked so hard, you proudly
showed me your final product and said, “My flower” MashaAllah so beautiful .
Bissan, I was amazed to see you successfully finished your project. You went through many
steps to get the final product of your liking. First you had to decide what to colour, 2 nd. you were
persistent to finish colouring that took a long time, 3rd. cut around the flower which was not
very easy job, 4th. used a stick and sello tape to make sure the flower is strong enough to stand.
MashaAllah I was so proud of your enthusiasm.

Learning Happening
Bissan, through this activity you were
developing fine motor skills, hand-eye co-
ordination, exploring creativity, increasing
concentration and independence.
InshaAllah we will make sure you get enough
opportunities to increase your skills further.
Perhaps next time you may draw your own
flower by yourself then colour it and cut
around.
