1.0 PURPOSE

This document enumerates the guidelines for review of vendor drawings and
documents.

2.0 SCOPE

This document is applicable while reviewing various documents/drawings

submitted by approved vendor with respect to all jobs related to Environment
Division.

3.0 REFERENCES

Bid document, Addendum, Corrigendum, Technical Memorandum, Minutes of

Meeting, Contract document, etc.

4.0 DEFINITIONS

DOCUMENTS: Documents shall include write-ups, design philosophy, design

basis, data sheets, equipment list, instrument list, line list, process design,
sizing, calculations, sketches etc, with reference to the specific project under
consideration.

5.0 METHODOLOGY

5.1 Vendor shall submit list of drawings & documents alongwith their suggestive
approval category for review by EIL during project kick off meeting.

5.2 Vendor shall submit all the drawings & documents to EIL as per the advise of
project division.

5.3 Environment Division, shall review these documents pertaining to Environment

Division from Process/Environment point of view and then release the
documents to the coordinating department for further review by other
concerned divisions/departments.

5.4 Reviewed drawing and documents shall be categorised as Code-1, Code-2 or

Code-3 approval categories as per EIL’s standards applicable from time to time.
The drawings and documents of information category or proprietary
equipments/systems shall be marked “Retained for information”.

5.5 All drawings & documents submitted by the vendor shall be reviewed as per
project specific schedule.

5.6 One copy of all the final drawings shall be maintained in the division for a period
mentioned for quality records.

5.7 The inputs furnished by Process group will form the basis for review, wherever
applicable. The critical parameters to be reviewed by Environment Division for
tanks & pumps are enclosed herewith as Annexure - I, II & III.

pumps included in the Basic Engineering Packages submitted by the vendor vis-a-vis the
