Blue Ridge High School Supply List 18-19 

All classes require pen/pencil, paper, and folder. Supplies other than the very basics are listed
below. More specific instructions may be given in the class. Some teachers have also listed
wish list items, which are not required, but are greatly appreciated!

Classroom supplies are not covered by free/reduced lunch status. If your family is struggling to
provide supplies, please contact the counselor, principal, or office staff for options with
assistance.

ALL STUDENTS:   
- Registration fees are $100. $50 for reduced lunch eligibility. $0 for free lunch eligibility.
- All Students are ​encouraged​ to use an assignment book/planner/calendar. This can be
any shape or size. The school does not provide a planner.
- All Students will buy a ​required​ school-issued lock for $8 for their locker at registration
time.
- All students should have earbuds or headphones because of frequent chromebook use.

Ag​: All classes: 1-1.5 in binder, notebook, folder, highlighters, pens/pencils, personal glue or
tape
- Ag Mech: Clear Safety Glasses (Z87), unfrayed/not holey jeans and appropriate shoes
(boots preferred) for welding, $10-20 for project.
- Intro to Ag: personal headphones/earbuds
Wishlist: ​Kleenex, Sharpies (thin), Clorox Wipes

Art:​ ​$6 to purchase sketchbook and erasers

Industrial Technology:  
All lab classes​: Safety glasses (clear) Z78 minimum. For sale through department for $5 or
supply your own.h

Orientation to Vocational Occupations​: Wood Unit project cost varies on project, $8-16. Metal
Unit project $10.
Wood Processing Technology​: Several projects completed during the year. 1st project is $18.
After that it depends on the project and the number of projects the student completes. Typically
three projects. Prices can range from $20-$150 per project.
Cabinetmaking​: Price varies on project. Materials are pre paid. $ due mid January. After this
due date students must supply their own materials. Price typically ranges from $100-200.
Home Maintenance​: Electrical project $9.

Mathematics: 
1 large 2” binder, 1 composition notebook, Package of 6 ¾ in. refillable tape dispensers and/or
refills, 1 box of kleenex, PENCILS, erasers and a scientific calculator. Additional optional
supplies include highlighters, a ruler, and a 3 ring pencil bag for binder.

music​: Miscellaneous costs for instruments, reeds, oils, etc. Will be discussed in class.

PE​: Required school-issued shirt and shorts, $15 ( these are ordered the first day of school in
the PE class); Driving Range fee during the golf unit, $5.

Supplies will vary for each course. Basic supplies are needed for the classroom. Other
supplies will be sold by BACC.
