CPG500 Digital Pressure Gauge

The WIKA CPG500 digital pressure gauge enables the measurement and display
of pressure values in a single instrument. The accuracy of digital measurement
technology and the simplicity of an analogue gauge are combined in this instrument.
The WIKA CPG500 digital pressure gauge offers an accuracy of 0.25 % of span in
eight pressure ranges. Readings can be displayed in one of five standard units. With
a measuring rate of 100 measurements per second, the CPG500 features a very high
measuring rate. With this, fast pressure peaks and drops in pressure can be detected.
The bar graph display and drag pointer function integrated into the display, as well
as retrievable MIN/MAX peak values, enable effective analysis of the measuring point.

Pressure
How to order
A pressure gauge is a mechanical instrument designed to mea-
sure the internal pressure and/or vacuum of any system. When
the sensing element is subjected to pressure, it flexes, and the
resulting motion is transmitted as a measurement through a
mechanical movement to the dial face pointer.
Case and type of mounting
Cases are available in a wide variety of materials and configura-
tions. The more demanding the environment, the more rugged
the case construction (i.e., polypropylene or stainless steel for
industrial applications vs. aluminum or steel for construction or
commercial
applications). Gauge mounting or retrofitting needs may affect
case selection (i.e., a gauge to be panel mounted will require
either a front flange or u-clamp style case). Please see 1) for type
of gauge and mounting
Wetted Parts and Pressure Medium
Under normal operating conditions, only the tube and socket as-
sembly (Wetted Parts) of a pressure gauge will come into contact
with the fluid being measured (Pressure Medium). The selection
of the assembly will be determined by the composition of the
medium. Air, gas, steam, water and other noncorrosive media
are usually satisfied by a bronze or brass bourdon tube and brass
socket assembly.
Stainless steel or Monel wetted parts are used when the medium
contains corrosive elements or when high operating pressures
or temperatures will be encountered. A diaphragm seal is recom-
mended for highly corrosive media or that which may solidify or
deposit solids within the tube and socket assembly of the gauge.

Connection
The socket connection provides an entrance port for the process
medium as well as a means to mount the gauge to a pipeline or
vessel. Male connections can be provided with BSP, NPT, Metric
or other thread styles, in sizes from 1/8” through 3/4”. Special

Measurement Range
The maximum operating pressure of the appli-
cation should not exceed 75% of the measure-
ment range selected. Therefore, the specified
range should be twice the normal operating
point of the gauge to avoid damage to the
gauge internals. A wide variety of measurement
ranges is available, from -1 bar (= 1 bar vacuum)
through 2.500 bar pressure. Higher ranges till
7.000 bar as special available, Please see table

Liquid Filling
Liquid filling (glycerin, silicone or other fills) can
prolong the life of a pressure gauge by minimis-
ing wear on the gauge internals resulting from
vibration or oscillation. The liquid filling also
acts as a permanent lubricant to the moving
parts of the instrument.

4140 Pressure & Temperature Switches
AMOT model 4140 switches are available as a single (4140C
& F), dual step pressure or temperature switch (4140D & E), or
a combined pressure and temperature switch (4140A). The
AMOT 4140 temperature switches and combined switches
are supplied with a thermal well or slip coupling and are
mounted by inserting the temperature sensing element into
a properly located pipe boss.

4250 Pressure & Temperature Switch

The AMOT 4250 hazardous area temperature & pressure

hazardous duty locations. Well established and long proven
pressure and temperature sensing methods enable precise
and reliable operation largely unaffected by changes in

1672 Pressure Sensing Valve

AMOT’s 1672 pressure sensing valve is a 2-way normally open
sensors (closed under satisfied operation conditions) which
are opened by the sensed pressure decreasing or increasing
past the trip point. Dual purpose construction (trip on rising
or falling pressure) provides a wide range of applications and
permits easy field adjustment or changeover from trip on
falling pressure to trip on rising pressure. The 1672 pressure
sensing valve is snap-acting and suitable for hydraulic or
gas control systems which up to 80 psi (5.5 bar) maximum
control pressure.

environmental conditions. The pressure transmitter programme in block design covers a
4-20 mA output signal, absolute and gauge (relative) versions, measuring ranges from 0-1
to 0-600 bar, zero point and span adjustment, plug connection and female/flange pressure
connections.

MBS 4701 Pressure Transmitter

The intrinsically safe pressure transmitter MBS 4701 is designed for use in hazardous
environments, and offers a reliable pressure measurement, even in harsh and requiring
applications. The flexible pressure transmitter programme is EEx ia IIC T6 explosion
protected according to ATEX 100a and covers a 4-20 mA output signal, absolute and
gauge (relative) versions, measuring ranges from 0-1 to 0-600 bar, zero point and span
adjustment, plug connection and a wide range of pressure connections.

MBS-33M Pressure Transmitter

The standard pressure transmitter MBS 33M is designed for use in almost all marine
applications, and offers a reliable pressure measurement, even under harsh environmental
conditions. The flexible pressure transmitter programme covers a 4 – 20 mA output signal,
absolute and gauge (relative) versions, measuring ranges from 0 – 1 to 0 – 600 bar and a
wide range of pressure and electrical connections.

MBS 3100 / 3150 Pressure Transmitter

The compact ship approved pressure transmitters MBS 3100 and MBS 3150 are designed
for use in almost all marine applications. MBS 3150 with integrated pulse-snubber is
suitable in marine applications with severe medium influences like cavitation, liquid
hammer or pressure peaks and offers a reliable pressure measurement, even under harsh
environmental conditions. The flexible pressure transmitter programme covers, absolute
or gauge (relative) versions, measuring ranges from 0 ñ 1 to 0 ñ 600 bar. A wide range of
pressure and electrical connections are available.

EMP 2 Box Type Pressure Transmitter

The high accuracy pressure transmitter EMP 2 is designed for monitoring and control in
marine and industrial applications and offers a reliable pressure measurement, even under
harsh environmental conditions. The flexible pressure transmitter programme covers
absolute or gauge (relative) versions with zero and span adjustment with a 4 – 20 mA
output signal.

MBC 5100 Block-Type Pressure Switch

MBC pressure switches are used in marine applications where space and reliability are the
most important features. MBCs are compact pressure switches, designed according to our
new block design to survive in the harsh conditions known from machine rooms onboard
ships.
MBCs have high vibration resistance and feature all commonly marine approvals. The
fixed, but low differential guarantees accurate monitoring of critical pressures. MBV test
valves can be delivered as standard option for MBC pressure switches.

RT Pressure Switch
RT switches are used in general industrial and marine sectors. The RT single pressure
switches series consist of a variety of ordinary controls including neutral zone pressure
switches, safety pressure switches for steam boiler plant, and gold plated fail-safe
controls for applications in which safety or economical consequences are critical factors.
RT switches have been in service for more than 60 years.

KP Pressure Switch
Danfoss KP pressure switches are used for regulating, monitoring and alarm systems in
industrial applications.The KP series are suitable for gaseous media and air. They are fitted

T2 / TE2 Thermostatic Expansion Valve

T 2/TE 2 thermostatic expansion valves are used for liquid injection into evaporators on
both refrigeration and air conditioning systems using fluorinated refrigerants. T 2/TE 2 is
supplied with an interchangeable orifice assembly for easy stocking and service.

KPS Heavy Duty Pressure Switch

In the KPS switches series, special attention has been given to meeting important demands
for a high level of enclosure, a robust, compact construction and resistance to shock and
vibration.
The KPS switches range covers most outdoor as well as indoor application requirements,
and are suitable for use in alarm and regulation systems in factories, diesel plant,
compressors, power station and on board ships.

TE5 Thermostatic Expansion Valve

TE 5 thermostatic expansion valves are used for liquid injection into evaporators on both
refrigeration and air conditioning systems using fluorinated refrigerants. TE 5 is supplied
as a part program with a wide range of valve bodies. The exchangeable power element is

 TR10-A Resistance Thermometer
The measuring inserts per DIN 43735 for TR10-A resistance thermometers described
here is designed for installation in a protective fitting. Operation without a thermowell is

only advisable in particular cases. The measuring insert is manufactured from bendable,
mineral-insulated sheathed cable. The sensor is located at the tip of the measuring insert.
The measuring inserts are delivered with loading springs to ensure a good contact to the
thermowell floor.

TR10-B Resistance Thermometer

The WIKA TR10-B resistance thermometer can be combined with a large number
of thermowell designs. Operation without thermowell is only suggested in specific
applications. A wide variety of possible combinations of Pt100 or Pt1000 sensor, connection
head, insertion length, neck length, connection to thermowell, etc. are available for the
thermometers; suitable for any thermowell dimension and any application. Optionally is
to fit an analogue or digital transmitter from WIKA into the connection head of the TR10-B.

TC10-H Thermocouple
Thermocouples without thermowell are particularly suitable for those applications
in which the metallic sensor tip is mounted directly into bored holes (e.g. in machine
components) or directly into the process for any application with no chemically aggressive
media or abrasion. The flexible part of the sensor is a mineral-insulated cable (sheathed
cable). It consists of a stainless steel outer sheath, which contains the insulated internal
leads, embedded within a high-density ceramic compound and is also suitable for use at
higher temperatures.

T24 Analogue Temperature Transmitter

The WIKA T24 temperature transmitter has been specifically designed for the application of
a Pt100 with 2- or 3-wire connection or 4 ... 20 mA analogue output (loop-powered 2-wire
design). The T24 combines the known quick response of an analogue transmitter with the
flexibility of configuration using a PC. The active stabilisation of the output current after
excitation of the power supply enables the use of this transmitter in multiplex systems. As
a result of its extremely compact design, this WIKA T24 temperature transmitter can be
fitted into any DIN connection head of form B.

T32 Digital Temperature Transmitter

WIKA temperature transmitters are designed for universal use in the process industry. They
offer high accuracy, galvanic isolation and excellent protection against electromagnetic
influences (EMI). Via HART® protocol, the T32 temperature transmitters are configurable
(interoperable) with a variety of open configuration tools. The T32 transmitters also have

SITRANS TF
The Siemens SITRANS TF is used where other transmitters
can’t cope. SITRANS TF is made of rugged die-cast aluminium
or long-lasting stainless steel. It transforms resistance
thermometers, thermocouples, Ohm and mV signals into
a load independent DC current corresponding to sensor
characteristic or a digital signal according to Fieldbus
standard Profibus PA or Foundation Fieldbus. The remote
mounted sensor prevents the transmitter heating up at high
temperature; there are no vibrations and oscillations due to
long neck tubes and protective pipes with SITRANS TF.

For tags with difficult access to you can mount your SITRANS
TF remotely at easily accessible places and display the
measured value on the freely programmable digital display
(with version 4 to 20 mA). You can even use the SITRANS TF in

 KPS Temperature Switch
In the Danfoss KPS temperature switch, special attention has been given to meeting great
demands for a high level of enclosure, a robust, compact construction and resistance

AVTA Thermostat Water Valve

Danfoss’s AVTA thermostatic operated water valves are used for proportional regulation of
water flow quantity in refrigeration plants with water-cooled condensers for condensing
pressure regulation purposes. The AVTA water regulating valves give modulating control
of the condensing pressure and so maintain it constantly during operation. When the
refrigeration plant is stopped, the cooling water flow is shut off automatically. The
Danfoss AVTA is designed for use with water or neutral brine. AVTA opens on rising bulb

The Danfoss MBT 153 is a heavy-duty temperature sensor that can be used for controlling
cooling water and ventilation systems within the general industry and marine applications.

The MBT 153 temperature sensor is based on a standardised Pt100 or Pt1000 element,
which gives a reliable and accurate measurement. On request, the MBT 153 can also be
delivered with NTC/PTC elements. The sensor is based on a stainless steel housing with a
cable, which makes the sensor extremely flexible.

MBT 5113 Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor

The Danfoss MBT 5113 is a heavy-duty temperature sensor that can be used for measuring
and regulating exhaust gas from diesel engines, turbines and compressors within stationary
and marine applications. The MBT 5113 sensor is based on a type K thermocouple, which
measures temperatures up to 800 °C. The measuring insert can be changed even while
operating the application. All parts in contact with the media are made of stainless steel
AISI 316 Ti. The sensor is delivered with B-head as standard and, if needed, a transmitter
(MBT 9110) can be ordered as an integrated part of the sensor.

MBT 5116 Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor

The MBT 5116 is a heavy-duty temperature sensor that can be used for measuring and
regulating exhaust gas from diesel engines, turbines and compressors within stationary
and marine applications. The MBT 5116 temperature sensor is based on a standardised
Pt100 element, which gives a reliable and accurate measurement. The measuring insert
can be changed even while operating the application, and all parts in contact with the
media are made of stainless steel. The sensor is constructed to fit where there is limited
space.

MBT5250 Temperature Sensor

The Danfoss MBT 5250 is a heavy-duty temperature sensor that can be used for controlling
cooling water, lubrication oil, hydraulic oil and refrigeration plants within general industry
and marine applications. This temperature sensor is based on a standardised Pt100 or
Pt1000 element. The MBT 5250 can be delivered with NTC/PTC elements on request.
The measuring insert is based on a silicone cable, which makes the sensor very resistant
towards vibrations. The MBT 5250 is equipped with EN 175301-803-A, Pg 9 as standard, but
can be delivered with M12 or DIN 72585 Bayonet on request.

MBT5560 Temperature Sensor

With MBT 5560 Danfoss has combined the technology of its standard temperature sensors
and the electrical connections from the MBS pressure transmitters with a newly developed
electronics which has resulted in a compact temperature sensor with a built-in transmitter.
The MBT 5560 is designed for use in harsh industrial environments where reliable, robust
and accurate equipment is required. Available with a wide selection of process and
electrical connections. Can be delivered with a 33 mm extension length which makes it
possible to measure temperatures up to 200°C without damaging the built-in electronics.

MBT9110 Temperature Transmitter

The Danfoss MBT 9110 temperature transmitter can be used for converting the Pt100 ohm
signal or the thermocouple mV signal to a 4 to 20 mA signal. The MBT 9110 can be used

The Danfoss MBT 9110 transmitter in the standard program is delivered in an enclosure

For level detection, for example, a float switch may be used, also known as the Mobory switch. The operation of
this switch is based on the mutual repulsion of two magnets. The float is mounted on a pivoting shaft, on which a
permanent magnet also is mounted. The same magnet is mounted in the switching section, opposite the magnet
on the float. The poles of the two magnets are placed opposite each other in such a way that they repel each other

 BNA Bypass Level Gauge
The WIKA BNA bypass level gauge consists of a bypass
chamber, which, as a communicating tube, is connected
laterally to a vessel via at least 2 process connections. Thus the
level gauge displays the level without power supply.

FLS Magnetic Float Switch
A float with a permanent magnet moves reliably along with
the liquid level in a guide tube. By using a magnet and reed
contact, the switching operation is non-contact, free from
wear and needs no power supply.

HLS Magnetic Float Switch

RLS-5000 Bilge Float Switch

The WIKA RLS-5000 bilge float switch is used for the
monitoring of limit levels in shipbuilding (e.g. in bilge water
tanks) and industrial applications. Inside the stainless steel
case, a permanent magnet built into the float triggers.

FLR Level Sensor

The WIKA FLR sensors with reed measuring chain are used for
level measurement in liquid media. The FLR level sensor works
on the float principle with magnetic transmission.

FSD-3 Flow Switch

The WIKA FSD-3 enables the reliable and process-safe
monitoring of the flow of liquid media. The FSD-3 operates on
the basis of the calorimetric measuring principle. This ensures
a wear-free flow measurement without any moving parts.

LGG Glass Gauge

The main element of the glass gauge is the body. Incorporated
into this body is the liquid channel (if necessary the heating
channel) and the seating faces for the chambered seals and

The SIKA VH 500 paddle flow switch is modelled for applications such as cooling
water monitoring, leak monitoring, and lubrication control. The VH 500 is placed
with its paddle in flowing medium, which triggers the paddle. The resulting
dynamic pressure causes the paddle to travel, which causes the actuation of
integrated micro switches.

VH780 Flow Monitor

The VH 780 from SIKA is a paddle flow switch for liquids which is mainly used to
maintain the measurement of the flow of low-viscosity in liquids in the pipelines.
The device has the maximum temperature range of up to 120 °C. Furthermore, this
paddle flow switch is best used for heating systems, cooling circuits, lubrication
circuits, and heat pumps.

TU7050 Switching Transmitter

The SIKA TU 7050 is a two channel switching transmitter for use with turbine
flow sensors. Pulse signals from flow sensors operate a dual set of galvanically
insulated, dry contacts which in turn, may be used to activate alarms. Set point
adjustments are allowed, in up to 16 increments, via a pair of rotary switches
set into the module’s front panel. The rear panel contains the DIN rail mounting
assembly.

The SIKA TU 7050 provides a failsafe mechanism as any malfunction of the flow
sensor would immediately trigger the low flow alarm setting. The set points
are very easily adjusted via the very visible, rotary dial settings and additional
oversight is offered by 2 LED lights. The red LED will light in a no-flow condition
and a green LED indicates flow.

VZ...VA-S Pos. Displacement Flow Sensor

Gearwheel type flow sensors from SIKA record volume flows of liquids with
both high and changing viscosities. The high-precision sensors work according
to the displacement principle. The high resolution combined with reliable
measurement accuracy make the sensors especially useful for applications
involving the measurement of small and very small volumes.

SIKA’s VZ-S Positive displacement flow sensors are available with a variety
of casing and sealing materials, meaning they can be universally used for
different measurement media.

 VO...VA Oval Gear Flow Meter
Oval gear flow meters type VO with tread connection are available with
threaded process connection G¼, G½, G¾, G 1 or G 2 (female thread). The

VS1 Variable Area FLow Meter

SIKA variable area flow meters are used in pipelines and determine the
volume flow of liquids or gases there. The flow meter consists of a conical
measuring tube with a float inside it.
The measuring principle is based on the body being vertically deflected
through the flowing medium. Various forces act on the float - the flow
resistance, the buoyant force, as well as the weight force of the body. In
summary, if the volume flow rises, the float is lifted. The current flow is
indicated on the scale at the top of the float.

The SIKA VS1 flow meter features a water scale in l/h and a % scale as
standard. Optional air scales are also available for various operating
pressures. Two adjustable reference value indicators facilitate monitoring of
the rate of flow. Limit contacts are available as accessories.

VHS... Level Switch (Metal)

Sika’s VHS... level switch is the easy and reliable solution for monitoring fluid
levels. The VHS switch is installed at the side using G¾ or G½ thread sizes.
The time-tested float principle and a potential-free contact as the signalling
transmitter guarantee a high level of operational safety.

The rising level in the tank forces the float up. Via paddle system, the magnet
changes its position relative to Reed contact and actuates it. The repulsion
between the two homopolar magnets and supports the buoyancy (Version
VK... different). As soon as the level sinks again, the float follows also, and the
magnet actuates the Reed contact again.
Series VHS level switches are made from brass or stainless steel and are

KATflow 200
The U-F-M KATflow 200 is an innovative portable flow meter providing
engineers with a robust, easy-to-use and lightweight instrument that offers the
measurement performance of more complex and expensive devices.

With a weight of less than 700g, the KATflow 200 of U-F-M is a light, portable
flow meter which can be carried in one hand. This makes it an ideal tool for the

The KARI Float Switch is a control device for charging and discharging
pumps and motor and magnetic valves. It is also an alarm device that alerts
the user at specified surface levels. Thanks to its large float casing (Ø 170
mm), the KARI Float Switch has a buoyancy that guarantees smooth, trouble-
free operation under all conditions. SGS FIMKO Oy (the Finnish Electrical

The way pressure measuring instruments will be mount on top of the process depends on the situation and type of
process. All instrument valves and manifolds are designed to fulfil its unique purpose. For example, there can not
be any liquids go through a with a gas filled pipeline. While on the other side liquids are a necessity on liquid filled
processes. The reason for this is that there needs to be a fixed zero pressure point in the pipelines, to ensure reliable
and accurate measurements. There can be numerous reasons not to install an instrument valve directly to the process,
one of the reasons can be: a chemical composed process, high temperatures, or pressure fluctuations.

Manifolds ensure shutting-off impulse lines, deflating a process, and create a fixed zero pressure point. Manifolds

8064A/8064C Electro/Pneumatic (I/P) Converter

The AMOT model 8064 Electro / Pneumatic Converter converts a 4 to 20 mA
input signal to a directly proportional 0.2 to 1 bar (3 to 15 psig) pneumatic
output signal. The mechanism is damped with a viscous silicone fluid,
making it insensitive to shock and vibration. The converter may be specified
with output either direct or reverse acting, increasing or decreasing with an
increasing input.

The electro-pneumatic valve system combines both electric and pneumatic

technology, consisting of a pneumatically actuated three-way control valve
with an electro-pneumatic converter.

 2800 Safety Shutdown Device
The AMOT model 2800 fuel rack actuator is a safety shutdown
device which senses oil pressure or other control pressure.
This device is typically connected to an engine fuel rack governor
or fuel pump stop lever and should a loss or drop in oil pressure
occur below the set point, and it will trip immediately.

Gauge Valves
AS-Schneider Gauge Valves are designed, manufactured and tested according to DIN 16270, DIN 16271 and DIN 16272.
According to these standards, the valves are applicable for a max. allowable (Working) Pressure (PS) of 250 bar (brass)
respectively 400 bar (carbon steel and stainless steel) and a max. allowable Temperature (TS) of 120°C for liquids, gas or
vapours.

The max. allowable Temperature (TS) of 120°C is considering the requirement that valves and measuring instruments
need to be protected against heating by hot media. This can be achieved by syphons or by instrument impulse lines
with sufficient length. However, the AS-Schneider valves can be used for temperatures up to 300°C - PTFE up to 232°C,
Graphite up to 300°C.

crankshafts and cylinder liners. The old dial gauge crankshaft alignment checks were time-consuming, unpleasant, dirty

Cat Fines II
In general, marine diesel engines burn residual fuel oils. Some may contain higher levels of contaminants, such as water
and abrasive solids, than others. It is necessary to clean all residual fuel oils before injection into the engines to achieve
reliable and cost-effective operation.

The leading cleaning method used on board ships today is centrifugal separation. According to ISO 8217, the maximum
allowable content of catalytic fines is 60 ppm. Engine builders anticipate that the fuel cleaning system will reduce this to
a maximum of 10 - 15 ppm.

Catalytic fines are small particles of the spent catalyst after employing catalytic cracking processes. They are robust and
capable of severely scratching, if not cutting, metal. All catalytic fines that remain in the fuel oil after centrifugal separation
have the potential to cause abrasive wear and damage to the engine.

Compatibility Tester
With the growing use of low sulphur fuels and increased frequency of bunkering, testing the stability of the fuel oil and
its compatibility for blending is becoming increasingly important.

While every fuel oil is manufactured to be stable - in that it does not have the tendency to produce asphaltenic sludge
- two stable fuel oils are not necessarily compatible when blended or mixed. A blend is regarded as being stable only if
it is homogeneous immediately after preparation, remains so in standard storage and at no time produces or tends to
produce sludge on a significant scale. If behaving in this way, the fuels forming the blend can be considered as compatible
with each other. Incompatibility is the tendency of residual fuel oil to produce a deposit on dilution or on blending with
other fuel oils, and typical incompatibility problems include sludging and blockage of bunker and service tanks, pipe
runs, filters and centrifuge bowls. In extreme circumstances, the only remedy is the manual removal of the sludge build
up, which is both time-consuming and extremely costly.

Onboard fuel oil compatibility testing is straightforward and can take just 20 minutes, providing engineers with crucial
information that can confirm that the fuel oil delivery will remain stable in the bunker tanks or identify possible stability
problems before blending and mixing two fuel oils. Compatibility fuel oil testing can prevent sludge build up, damage
or problems of fuel oil systems and ensure smooth engine operation by ruling out any issues with fuel combustion in

XTS-W Bearing War Monitoring System
The XTS-W Bearing Condition Monitor is a unique system that provides advanced warning of wear in the crank train
bearings of 2-stroke slow speed diesel engines. It indicates wear in the main, crankpin and crosshead bearings and can
also monitor both water in oil content and electrical potential between the propeller shaft and hull, both of which have
an adverse effect on bearing life.

The XTS-W uses custom proximity sensors to measure the relative position of each guide shoe, at Bottom Dead Centre
(BDC), concerning the crankcase. Any significant wear in the bearing surfaces results in a shift in this measurement, thus
facilitating early detection of a failure. This measurement technique is used to detect wear in the main, crank-pin and

EPM-XP Electronic Indicator

The battery powered, hand-held EPM-XP Electronic Indicator is designed for periodic monitoring of cylinder pressures
on large diesel, gas and dual-fuel engines. It provides valuable measurement data for engine diagnostics and condition

Ballast Water Test Kit

Ballast water exchange is an essential process, but it’s one which involves several complex processes. There are some
acknowledged guidelines which need to be followed to ensure the water is as safe and hygienic as it can be. The presence
of any harmful bacteria, viruses and invasive species on a ship can have catastrophic effects, so CMT’s highly developed
ballast water test kits are vital. Easy to use and reliably accurate, the kit enables user companies to remain compliant
with current and future legislation and guidelines. Exchanging ballast water in a timely, efficient and safe manner is an
essential aspect of modern marine life, but it should always be monitored effectively. With the CMT ballast water test kit
on your side, you can be sure that your vessels and offshore installations are operating correctly.

The Ballast Water Certificate is issued after successful inspection and is valid for five years. For renewal and random
inspections, maintaining the ballast water system operating requirements in line with the IMO Ballast Water Convention
(2004) will be required. The IMO Ballast Water Convention (2004) specifies three different standards:

A salinity refractometer provides a simple test to
confirm that exchange occurred.

A portable, pocket-size digital fluorometer tests for

photosynthetically active chlorophyll, like that found

Compliance officers can quickly determine whether a

ship exceeds D2 standards. In case of positive results,

Combined Oil Condition and Moisture Sensor

It is a permanent sensor for the continuous
determination of the oil condition, humidity and
temperature in hydraulic and lubricating oils. It
permanently monitors dissolved water and oil
quality at the same time. It puts you in control of
your lubricant. You know exactly when to change
the oil based on condition, not on historical
schedules.

Monitoring of changes in hydraulic fluids and

lubricants are essential for condition-based
maintenance. Data is continuously documented
evaluated and stored. In that way deterioration
and changes in the oil (e.g. water leakage, oil
change) can be indicated.

Through this, damage can be recognised or

wholly avoided at an early stage. This offers the
opportunity to prevent machine failures as well as

Using a dry-well calibrator or a micro calibration bath to calibrate either surface
thermometers or non-contact thermometers does not reflect the application and
can result in false values. In these cases, the model CTM9100-150 temperature multi-

Linearisation
Multi-point adjustment can be performed if it is necessary to adjust the
indicated values at different test points. Two-point adjustment is available for
setting the zero point and slope of the measuring cell curve. Type P digital
pressure gauges allow up to six offset values to be programmed in order to shift
the characteristic curve to meet the most stringent customer expectations.

Type L Digital Pressure Gauge

The SIKA type L digital pressure gauge is especially suitable for both stationary
and mobile measurement and display of pressure. The type L can be used
as reference pressure gauges to simplify the checking, adjustment and

PC connection and software

Many digital pressure gauges have a serial interface port to allow measurement
values and stored data to be transferred directly to a PC and documented. An
inexpensive measurement data acquisition system can easily be assembled
with suitable software and an interface converter. Processes can be readily
monitored and analysed using the recorded and visualised measurements,
and all data can be exported using standard programs such as Microsoft

model RI-415 / RX-415, RX-415 the Riken Keiki RX-8000 is
designed for measuring hydrocarbons and oxygen in inert

The AlcoBlow is a simple to use, rapid response instrument
that is used simply to determine whether or not a person
has any alcohol in their breath at all. It uses the Lion fuel
cell sensor, so the reading is implausible to be affected by

physical contact between the subject and instrument,
so there is no mouthpiece to replace for each test. The

Due to its design, the WIKA 990.10 diaphragm seal with a
threaded connection can be used universally. A replacement
of the lower body is possible (e.g. when changing the process
connection) without having to carry out modifications on
the diaphragm seal system.

For the material selection, WIKA offers a variety of solutions,

in which the upper body, the diaphragm and the lower
body can be made of identical or different materials. The
