ABSTRACT: We present a very useful and essential circuit in the electronics workshop, which allows to
adjust the temperature of a soldering iron, by means of a potentiometer.
When a soldering iron is chosen for a specific task, what is looked at is its power, which is basically its
capacity to generate a specific heat. Usually in electronics, soldering irons with power between 20W and a
maximum of 200W are used. They are powered by the public network (120 or 220 VAC).
We must bear in mind that electronic components have a tolerance to temperature.
