The Tourism and Hospitality Research Poster Competition is one of the three (3) inter-school
competitions of the UP AIT Association of Alumni Tourism and Hospitality Conference
(#UPTourCon2018). It aims to serve as a venue for young researchers to present their studies
through posters/standees in order to enrich knowledge and discussions on the field of tourism
and hospitality during the Conference. This will also hone the students’ analytical,
interpersonal, artistic, and communication skills, which will all be useful as they pursue their
careers in the industry in the future.
B. COMPETITION GUIDELINES
For this competition, the school may field as many research teams as it can, with a
maximum of five (5) students in each team.
Only schools with at least ten (10) registered participants will be allowed to join in any
competition. Thus, the school must ensure that it is able to register the minimum number
of students on or before the abstract submission deadline (August 15); otherwise the
submitted abstract/s from the school’s team/s will not be included in the paper

The students participating in the competition must also be registered to the Conference
on or before the said Plan submission deadline. Failure to do so will invalidate their
team’s submission. The basis of the list of participants is the one provided in the General
