About the FDP
The objective of this programme is to broaden and enhance the teaching and research skills of
the teachers by exposing them with appropriate skills pertaining to teaching-learning process.
Advent of technology has made a number of innovative pedagogies available for the teachers
of higher education such as case-study methods, role-play, blended learning, flipped class
room teaching etc. However, the use of the innovative teaching methods requires training and
expertise on the part of the teacher. With this, FDP aims at fostering innovative teaching skills
in teachers of higher education. Further, it aims at strengthening functional area of expertise
and also focuses on enhancing abilities to conduct research on topics of utmost relevance. The
