Curriculum Development and Co-Instructor, November 2008-February 2009
Hosted a class for Philadelphia teens and young adult exploring how print and print shops have been integral in
movements for social change. Funded 100% by a Leeway Change Partner Grant.
 researched and developed curriculum and determined the methodology for implementation.
 designed and printed a four-color poster to advertise the class.
 organized enrollment and managed the budget.
 co-taught 12 students in weekly Saturday classes.
 designed and installed public exhibition.
 collaborated with Frontline Philly to produce a short film highlighting the program.

City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program- a public art program serving the City of Philadelphia
Teaching Artist with Big Picture after school program, 2009
 worked with 5th -8th grade students at Blaine Elementary School in Strawberry Mansion.
 organized all aspects of community mural
 helped youth build a cohesive community of mural artists who designed a collaborative mural, picked a site for
that mural, prepared for and presented their mural to mural arts staff at the Mural Arts headquarters.

Southwest Community Enrichment Center- A small community arts center in a 2-story row home in southwest

TRAVEL: South Africa: March 2009


Traveled with Spiral Q Puppet Theater. Researched the role of community print shops during the
anti-Apartheid struggle. Met and interviewed individuals who ran and operated community
print shops in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Served as documentary photographer, audio
technician, and curricular expert.

VOLUNTEER: Pentridge Children’s Garden: 2001- 2009


Developed and Implemented educational programs and worked to maintain a cohesive
