Assessment Schema for MBA – January 2018 Batch

Examination for a particular semester will consist of two components:


1. End Term Examination (ETE); with 70% weightage
2. Continuous Internal Assessments; with 30% weightage

1. End Term Examination (ETE):

The End Term Examination would be conducted online through Amity test engine twice in a year. The question
papers would consist of multiple choice and subjective questions in following pattern:–

 Part A: Comprises of Four subjective questions of 7.5 marks each; attempt any two with detailed
answers to be typed by the learner in the dialogue box provided for the purpose. This section
carries 15 marks.

 Part B: Comprises of a case study followed by Two Questions of 7.5 marks each. This section caries
15 marks.

 Part C: Twenty MCQs of Two mark each. This section carries 40 marks.

2. Continuous Internal Assessment:

Each learner is required to submit assignments by due date to complete the process of continuous internal
assessment which carries a 30% weightage towards overall assessment. Assignment submission facility is
available online through the Learning Portal.

NOTE- The results of the learners who have not completed and qualified in the Continuous internal
assessment will not be declared for that semester.

Each Assessment will constitute of:

 Application based Case Study


 Multiple Choice Questions
 Case Study will be available only after the completion of Learning Materials
 Time limit of 180 Minutes / 3 Hours is applicable after beginning the Assessment

 Live – Interactive Sessions:
You are advised to participate 100% in the live sessions for which you will get 5 marks towards your internal
Assessment. Learners who are unable to access the sessions in Live Mode can watch the recorded sessions
and attend the “Live Interactive Session Test”.

The “Live Interactive Session Test” shall comprise of MCQs from all Live Sessions and will be activated
course-wise; only after all live sessions have been delivered.

 Interactive Video Lectures:


You are provided with interactive video lectures embedded with Objective type questions. These questions also
contribute towards the final Internal Assessment scores with a specified weightage. The test questions can be
accessed after completing the entire video lecture of a specific topic. However, if you choose to skip the video
content, you will not be able to access the questions.

NOTE- Marks of Objective Test Questions will be automatically captured by the Learning Portal on your
first attempt. It is therefore advised to complete the video lecture sincerely and thereafter attempt the
questions.

 Time Spent on Amity – Learning Portal:


Your time spent on Amity-LMS will be tracked by the system and consequently a specified weightage is
assigned towards it.

PASSING CRITERIA:
To qualify in a semester a learner has to obtain minimum 5.0 Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) and to
qualify in the program, a learner has to obtain minimum 6.0 Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA).

Since End Term Examinations of ADDOE are held twice in a year there will be no supplementary examination
for learners. Learners intending to appear again can do so in the following End Term Examination, as
applicable from time to time, within the maximum duration laid down for that program.
