I. COLLEGE CORE (17 courses + VPA [54 cr]; 46 cr not incl mth and bio)
Biology (10 courses; 37-39 credits) A minimum of 8 courses must be classroom courses (as opposed to research), and
at least 5 Biology courses must be taken at Le Moyne College.
6 additional Biology courses, at least one taken from each of the areas listed below; at least two taken from outside the
groups. At least 4 of these courses must have lab components (i.e. be 4 credit courses)

Typical number of credits to fulfill requirement. However, students may also fulfill this requirement with a semester of study abroad
or by demonstrating intermediate language proficiency in an examination accepted by the Department of Foreign Languages.

Students may fulfill this requirement by taking any approved 3-credit course in the appreciation or creation of visual, creative or
performing arts; by taking any college course with a "VPA" designation, indicating that it includes 1-credit worth of VPA content; or,
by taking an approved 1-credit independent study or special topics in performance or appreciation.

While this is a non-credit-bearing requirement, all students must take one course listed with a "DIV" designation from the list of such
courses offered throughout the College.
All Biological Sciences majors must take at least one course from each group below: Molecular & Cellular Biology;
Organismal Biology; and Ecology & Population Biology. The semester each course is typically offered is indicated in parenthesis
(e.g. S indicates course is usually offered in the spring, though not necessarily every spring; some courses are offered alternate years).
