ABSTRACT
Background/Objectives: Cement is one of the sources for producing inexperienced house gases
united ton of carbon dioxide is created with each one ton of cement production. Use of alternative
materials will scale back this pollution downside.
do Methods/ Statistical analysis: In the present
work Sugarcane pulp ash has been tried as another material for partial replacement of cement.
Sugarcane bagasse ash is a by-product
by product of sugarcane and disposal of that is making serious setting
issues. In the present work, trails are created (with 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%) to value
absolutely the quantum of cement that may get replaced by bagasse
bagasse ash while not poignant the
strength capabilities of the cast. Findings: Different tests such as compressive
compressiv strength, flexure
strength and split tensile strength are to be conducted on concrete for seven days and twenty-eight
twenty
days natural process. Analysis of the results would give conclusions and inferences.
Applications/Improvements: Outcome shows that for 15% substitute of cement by way of the SCBA
strength is nearly enough the nominal force of the concrete.

1. INTRODUCTION
Cement is the main ingredient of concrete. Production of cement consumes
consumes high energy and is responsible
for emitting green house gases and responsible for global warming. Initiative s and scientists are in search
for alternative materials that can overcome this problem. Agro waste such sugar cane bagasse slag, ground
nut shellslag, rice husk slag etc are tried as partial replacement of cement. In the present work Sugar cane
bagasse ash has been used as alternative material which is replaced in different percentages. Soon after
processing the Sugar cane extract,
extract the waste leftt is known as sugar cane bagasse. On heating it under

controlled temperature it gives ash containing high silica and aluminum oxide. The experimental work was
carried out on SCBA obtained by combustion of sugarcane bagasse, which was obtained from Andhra
Pradesh in India. Around 300 Million Tons of sugar cane is being produces in India for an year, resulting
12 million tons of SCBA as wastes material. The present paper studies the effect of SCBA by partial
replacement of cement for M40 grade at ratio of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%. This the concrete
mixed with OPC, SCBA, Sand, Gravel, Water and Super Plasticizer
2. OBJECTIVE
The main objective of this study is to find

2. Optimal amount of Sugar cane bagasse ash that can be replaced
3. METHODOLOGY
3.1. MATERIALS
• Cement: Cement used in the experimental work is 53grade of Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) conforming
to IS: 12269 having specific gravity of 3.15.
• Fine aggregate: Locally accessible stream sand. It belongs to zone II with Specific gravity of 2.60
• Coarse aggregate: Well graded angular aggregates of maximum nominal size of 20mm with specific
gravity 2.86 and minimum nominal size 10mm with specific gravity of 2.80
• Water: Portable water is used at university campus. As per water conforming to Indian Specifications
• Sugar cane bagasse ash: The Sugarcane bagasse slag is gathered from KCP Sugars, located in the Vuyyuru
region of Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. Specific gravity is 1.83.
• Super Plasticizer: Polycarboxylate otherwise named Glenium is used. The specific gravity is 1.108
3.2. Mix design: Recommended as per IS 10262:2009. The mix proportion is 1:1.54:2.73 and water
cement ratio is 0.38
3.3. Casting: A total of 36 cube moulds of size 150mm×150mm×150mm, 36 cylinders of size 150mm dia
and 300mm height, beams of size 100mm×100mm×500mm are castedto carry out the strength properties
of compressive, split tensile and flexural strength tests for a period of 7 and 28days.
3.4. Curing: The specimens are cured in water for duration of 7 and 28 days and tested.

CONCLUSIONS
• Outcome shows that for 15% substitute of cement by way of the SCBA strength is nearly enough the
nominal force of the concrete.
• The usage of bagasse slag in concrete resolves the complication of its clearance there by keeping the
surroundings free from all the pollutions.
• Replacement of cement by bagasse ash saves cement. By saving cement, greenhouse gases emissions can be
reduced.
• The workability of concrete decreases the inclusion
inclusio of bagasse ash the 20% cost of cement will be saved
• Than conventional concrete the SCBA concrete gives higher compressive strength.
