A. INTRODUCTION

The BBA International Business students of the Entrepreneurship Skills and

Business Ethics class under the guidance of Mr. Shuhaimi would like to conduct SOMB
Week with the tag line ‘Proactive, Innovative and Effective’. Only this time it would be a
lot more different and fun. Why I say this is because SOMB Week is usual an event or
activity that is conducted within a week but this time we have decided that it will be for a
month. There are four divisions to this event.

First up would be the Food Truck event that we plan to have on the 28th of March
2018 from 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm at Manipal International University Carpark 3 where all the
Food Truck and Vendors will be allocated their space to run their business in our campus
according to the floor plan set accordingly.

The second part of this division is the Preparation for Internship (Module 1) that
will take place on 4th of April 2018 from 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm at the Lecture Theatre 1.
During the 1st Module, we will be getting speakers to talk regarding ‘Grooming skills’,
‘Body Language,’ ‘Career Planning’ and ‘Business Ethics’. The speakers will be from
within Manipal International University.

The third part of this division is the second part of Preparation for Internship that
will take place on 11th of April 2018 from 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm at the Lecture Theatre 1. At
the 2nd Module, we will be getting speakers to talk about ‘Interview Skills’, ‘Resume
Writing’, and ‘Communication skills’. The speakers will be from within Manipal
International University and a guest speaker outside of our University.

The last part would be Industrial Visit that we plan to have on the 18th of April.
2018 from 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm to a company. We would like to request a bus from Manipal
International University.
