COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course integrates Field Study courses. It shall provide IE students practical
learning experiences where they observe, verify and reflect on the different components and
events of the teaching-learning process in actual school setting. Specifically, it shall focus on
the application of the different components and events of the behavior of learners; the
utilization of teaching principles and theories in the learning environment and enrich
students experiences in developing and utilizing appropriate technology to facilitate
learning.

At the end of the terms, students should be able to:


 Observe and experience teaching-related functions in actual classroom / school
environment;
 Identify and solve problems encountered in teaching;
 Perform other teaching practices applying new principles, methods and strategies;

They enhance the beauty of the surroundings of the home. They are used as
decorative materials in constructing a lawn, plaza and various kinds of
gardens.

Classifications of Ornamental Plants

1. Flowering - Samples are roses, sampaguita, ilang-ilang, orchids,


crysanthemums, callalilies and champaca.

2. Non-flowering - Samples are ferns, palms, japanese bamb.oo, San


Francisco.

1. Seed Structure ----Flowering plants produce seeds which are enclosed


in a fruit. They are subdivided into two main groups.

A. Monocotelydon-plants belonging to this group have only one cotyledon


or seed leaf. Ex: grasses and orchids.

B. Dicotyledon-plants belonging to this group have two cotyledons or


seed leaves. Ex: sunflower

Procedure in making a kitchen sink, Single Drainer

1. Get the materials needed

2. put on first the slip next the washer to the top of the tail piece and the p-
trap.

3. Get the tailed piece and the p-trap.

4. Connect the tailed piece and p-trap to and other using the slip net and
washer.

5. The nut on the slip- nut and washes under the hole of the p-trap .

6. Get the drain elbow and the last slip-nut and washer

7. Put it together.

8. Get the fixed p-top and connect to the drain elbow.

9. Last Get the pleasure and put it at the end the drain elbow.

B. Application

The students will follow the procedure in making a kitchen sink single drainer
show inside the classroom.

C. Generalization

Lean about plumbing, knowing the history of it and were it was


originated, understanding the types of plumbing duties and their
responsibilities and especially in how to make a kitchen sink single drainer.

Direction: Arrange the following from A to I according to the steps to


the kitchen sink single drainer.

Masonry- is the building of structures from individual units, which are often
laid in and bound together by mortar; the term masonry can also refer to
the units themselves. The common materials of masonry construction
are brick, building stone such as marble, granite, travertine,
and limestone, cast stone, concrete block, glass block, and adobe.

Concrete -is made by mixing:

 cement,
 water,
 coarse
 time aggregate
 admixture.

The aim is to mix these materials in measured amount to mold concrete that
is easy to:

 Transport
 Place

And which will set and border to give strong and durable. The relative
convert of each material ( cement, water and aggregate ) affects the
properties of concrete.

Aggregate should be:

 Strong
 Durable
 Chemically in active
 Clean
 Graded

B. Application

Do This: the student draw one type of structure masonry and present in our

Learning the basic things about masonry and concrete is a big help in a

the stock.

C. Rootstock-is a part of the budded tree, which will be the root system of
the plant.

Procedures:

STEP1: Prepare all the materials needed.

STEP2: Choose a Rootstock or Fruit Plant.

STEP3: Cut the Stem and Remove the Leaves.

STEP4: Cut the wood deeply down and Make a carve Pocket.

STEP5: Get and Insert the Bud Stick or Scion.

STEP6: Wrap a Tape Around.

STEP7: Cover the top using of Plastic Cover.

C. Generalization

Chip Budding is one of easier forms of other budding. Chip-Budding


materials are Placemat, Plastic Cover, Budding Tape, Budding Knife, and Bud
Stick. Wear the PPE or (Personal Protective Equipment) Apron or Lab shirt
and also remove the Accessories. Prepare all the materials needed. Choose a
Rootstock or Fruit Plant. Cut the Stem and Remove the Leaves. Cut the
wood deeply down and Make a carve Pocket. Get and Insert the Bud Stick or
Scion. Wrap a Tape Around. And last Cover the top using of Plastic Cover.

D. Evaluation

Direction: Arrange the letters A-G. Sequencing the proper steps of


Chip- Budding.
