• In both male and female they arise from the obturator arteries.

Region

• Follow the bony margins of the obturator foramina and travel anteriorly on the ischiopubic
rami to anastomose with the anterior branches of the obturator arteries.

Branches

• Acetabular branches.

Supply

• Muscles attached to the ischial tuberosity.
