(3 nos.) uneducated housewives, poor rural women, to the mainstream by providing them
technical known-how, awareness, education etc.
 Income Generation Programme: WCWS to envolve women in productive work
and provide immence employment opportunity to women and started re-productive
programme for poor rural people of Jajpur district. Provided them small capital as
loan from our own source and technical known-how and they started their petty
trades.
 Vocational Training: WCWS promoted TypeTraining, Fabric Painting and Craft,
Soft Toys training centres in Cuttack, Jajpur districts collaboration with Community
Polytechnic, MHRD, Department of Education, Govt. of India.
1999-2000  Fabric Painting Training Programme for Women: WCWS promoted in Cuttack in
(4 nos.) collaboration with Community Polytechnic, MHRD, Department of Education, Govt.
of India.
 Computer Education for Youth: WCWS promoted in Cuttack in collaboration with
Community Polytechnic, MHRD,
Department of Education, Govt. of India.
 Development of Child in Rural Area (DWCRA) Prorgamme:WCWS promoted in
the hilly areas of Mayurbhanj district to make crude silk threads.
 Vocational Training: WCWS organized Fabric Painting and Computer Education,
Tailoring, Embroidory for poor rural women of Cuttack district.

 Income Generation Programme: WCWS start a production unit through trainee. and
organized Exhibation-cum-Sale one at Sriramchandra Bhawan, Cuttack on 30 th December
2001 and another at Town Hall, Cuttack on 5 th March 2002 Fabric Painting, Glass Painting,
Summyca Painting, Zink Painting, Thormocol Painting Soft Toys, Embrodery Work, Patch
Work,Wood Carving materials Jaricraft, Applique etc. product materials.

 Income Generation Programme: Promotion of various income generation units
like, tailoring, appliqué work, soft toys making and different craft works ensuring their
market tie-up through different institutional works like arrangement of Exhibation-
cum-Sale of products prepared and produced by women S.H.Gs. on 17.03.2003 in
Town Hall, Cuttack.
 Vocational Training: WCWS promoted Tailoring, Embroidory, Type Writing, Soft
Toys Making, Handi Craft, Hardware Computer Education training programmes
collaboration with Community Polytechnic, MHRD, Department of Education, Govt.
of India.
 Fabric Painting: WCWS promoted Fabric Painting Training under NORAD scheme

MHRD,Department of Education, Govt. of India.
 Tailoring-cum-Embroidery Training: WCWS tries to bring women specially

2003-2004  Vocational Training: Promoted Vocational Training for destitute and poor women
(6 nos.) develop the skill through Type Writing, Tailoring, Embroidory, Garment Making and
Embroidery, Soft Toys Making,Jari Craft and Patch Work, Handicraft, Wood Carving,
Applique Work, Computer Education, Jute Work etc. The training programmes
collaboration with Community Polytechnic, MHRD, Department of Education, Govt.
of India, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Govt. of India, Cuttack & District Industries
Centre, Cuttack and conducted by Women & Child Welfare Society.
 Tailoring, Garment Making & Embroidery Training: . Women & Child Welfare
Society started training on Tailoring, Garment Making & Embroidery with Community
Polytechnic, MHRD, Department of Education, Govt. of India and & District
Industries Centre, Cuttack for women & girls from different slum area of Cuttack
City.
 Fabric Painting: WCWS promoted Fabric Painting Training for poor slum dweller
women collaboration with Polytechnic, MHRD, Department of Education, Govt. of
India & Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Govt. of India, Cuttack
 Type Writing & Shorthand Training: WCWS promoted Type Writing & Shorthand
Training for youths at Gopalpur, Sadar Block, Cuttack supported by Polytechnic,
MHRD, Department of Education, Govt. of India.
 Self Help Group Promotion: WCWS has taken special initiative to promote SHGs
at Gamahandia, Ghasia Sahi,Hadi Sahi , Bauri Sahi, Tanla Sahi, Muslim Sahi,
Harijan Sahi etc. has been able to promote those units through its expertise.
 Income Generation Programme: A continuous process in WCWS curriculum for the
poor slum women, WCWS stated a production unit through trainees and this unit also
Registered under D.I.C, Cuttack vide Regd. No.211207886,
dt.26.03.2004. Through promotion of Income Generation Unit like tailoring, appliqué
work,soft toys making, fabric painting, embroidery work, food preservation items and
different craft works and ensuring their market tie-up through Exhibation-cum-Sale
and others.
2004-2005  Vocational Training: Promoted Vocational Training more than 200 women develop
(2 nos.) the skill through Type Writing, Tailoring, Embroidory, Garment Making and
Embroidery, Soft Toys Making, Handicraft,Computer Education,Zink Painting etc.
The training programmes collaboration with Community Polytechnic, MHRD,
Department of Education, Govt. of India, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Govt. of
India, Cuttack towards aim of “Bekari Hatao” & District Industries Centre, Cuttack
and conducted by Women & Child Welfare Society.
 Self Help Group Promotion: WCWS has taken special initiative to promote SHGs
at Gamahandia, Ghasia Sahi,Hadi Sahi , Bauri Sahi, Gorakabar etc. has been able
to promote those units through its expertise
2005-2006  Self Help Group Promotion: WCWS has taken special initiative to promote SHGs
(2 nos.) at Cuttack district in order to strengthn the economic prosperity of women through
micro-credit linkage and promotion of home based small industries.15 nos. of Self
Help Groups have been formed among which assistance of credit linkages have
been provided to 6 nos. groups. All groups are affiliated with S.H.G Federation
“SWARUPA” under Mission Shakti.
 Promotion of Handicraft: Promotion of Handicraft in rural households. Three
groups are producing appliqué items, Fabric Painting, Zink Painting, Oil Painting etc.
and One group making sisal fibre goods.WCWS also promoting to produce golden
grass items whose marketability is wide spread and arranged Exhibation-cum-Sale
for 7 days Balijatra Festival Ground.
2006-2007  Vocational Education to Women: WCWS is adopting innovative methods for
(2 nos.) institutionalization of productivity and development of handicrafts in the sector. In
order to empower the women, the organization is imparting Dress Designing,
Readymada Garment Making, Screen Printing, Applique, Candle Making, Soft Toys
Making, Home Decorative, Incense Stick Making etc.. The organization is also
promoting marketablility of their products in the country. WCWS also registered
under SSBE Registration No. 211207886/DIC, Cuttack,26.03.2004
 Workshop on Food Preservation: WCWS is making attempt to preserve the
seasonal fruits in Cuttack district by extending the training and requisite support
mechanism and growth of agriculture and allied sector and economic prosperity of
rural farmers and establish effective integration and synergy between agriculture and
agro based industries. Food Processing adds value, enhances shelf live of the
perishable agro-food products, encourage crop diversification and ensures
remunerative market price of the agricultural produce by marketing it more
marketable.
2007-2008  Self Help Group Promotion: WCWS has been able to form 32 nos. of Self Help
(2 nos.) Groups in Cuttack and Mayurbhanj didtricts of Odisha. The members are contributing
their fees and the organization is striving the facilitate credit linkages with the bank.
Other employment generation programmes are being promoted by the organization.
Basically it is an effort to promote women at rural environment.

2009-2010  Capacity Building Training Programme for SHG Leaders:To promote livelihood
(1 no.) opportunities and employment creation in rural areas and facilitate access to
Financial and business promotion services for the poor through new ideas and
innovations with a scaling up potential in form,non-form and micro finance section
Women & Child Welfare society in collaboration with National Bank for Agriculture
and Rural Development(NBARD)organized a Capacity Building Training Programme
for Self Help Group leaders on 20 th September,2009 at Municipal High
School,Choudwar. etc. Total 40 nos. Self Help Group Leaders participated in the
training programme. All the dignitaries spoke on aims and objective of the Capacity
Building Training, Banking system, Savings, Loan, Maintenance of records,
marketing production making, skill development, sustainability, participation in
different training programme
2010-2011  Grass Root Level Training Programme for Self Help Group Leaders:To promote
(2 nos.) livelihood opportunities and employment creation in rural areas and facilitate access
to Financial and business promotion services for the poor through new ideas and
innovations with a scaling up potential in form, non-form and micro finance section
Women & Child Welfare society in collaboration with National Bank for Agriculture
and Rural Development (NBARD) organized Two nos. of Grass Root Level Training
Programme for Self Help Group leaders on 30th October,2010 at Dhabaleswar
Bidyapitha, Mancheswar ,Cuutack. Another GRLTP organized at Banra Gram
Panchayat Office, Banra, Banki, Cuttack. on 8 th March 2011.All the dignitaries
spoke on aims and objective of the Capacity Building Training, Banking system,
Savings, Loan, Maintenance of records, marketing production making, skill
development, sustainability, participation in different training programme etc. on the
occasion a Jhoti competition was organized among the participants and the winners
are falicitated with prize and certificates.
2011-2012  Grass Root Level Training Programme for Self Help Group Leaders:To promote
(4 nos.) livelihood opportunities and employment creation in rural areas and facilitate access
to Financial and business promotion services for the poor through new ideas and
innovations with a scaling up potential in form, non-form and micro finance section
Women & Child Welfare society in collaboration with National Bank for Agriculture
and Rural Development(NBARD)organized Two nos. of Grass Root Level Training
Programme for Self Help Group leaders on 24th February,2012 at Birakishorepur,
Athagarh. The 2nd GRLTP organized at Grampanchayat Office, Badamunali, Cuttack
on 25th February 2012. 3rd GRLTP organized on 26th February 2012 at Chasapara,
Choudwar & 4th GRLTP organized at Kishore Nagar, Cuttack. All the dignitaries
spoke on aims and objective of the Capacity Building Training, Banking system,
Savings, Loan, Maintenance of records, marketing production making, skill
development, sustainability, participation in different training programme etc..
2013-2014  Skill Training for Employment Promotion amongst Urban Poor (STEP-UP)
(2 nos.) under SJSRYThe objectives of the Swarna Jayanti Sahari Rojgar Yojana (SJSRY)
are: addressing urban poverty alleviation through gainful employment to the urban
unemployed or under-employed poor by encouraging them to set-up self
employment ventures (individual or group), with support for their sustainability or
undertake wage employment; supporting skill development and training programmes
to enable the urban poor to have access to employment opportunities opened up by
the market or undertake self-employment; and empowering the community to tackle
the issues of urban poverty through suitable self-managed community structures like
Neighbourhood Groups (NHGs), Neighbourhood Committees (NHCs), Community
Development Societies (CDSs) etc. Consistent with these objectives WCWS has
been conducting the project STEP-UP in Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) area
since the last reporting period. More than 200 numbers of youths have reaped
benefit under the programme while more than 100 candidates have been placed at
different agencies all over India. The programme is being supported by Housing and
Urban Development Department, Govt. of Odisha and SUDA through Centum
WorkSkills India Ltd (formerly known as Bharati Learning System) as service
provider NGO.
2014-2015  Training on Youth Leadership and Community DevelopmentA three-day training
(1 no.) programme on Youth Leadership and Community Development was organized by
WCWS in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, district office, Cuttack at
Beliapal, Badamba in Cuttack district from 13 to 15 th March, 2014. The programme
inaugurated by Mrs. Minati Bindhani, General Secretary of WCWS was participated
by total 40 numbers of youths. Mr Abinash Nayak, Operational Head, WorkSkills
India took the technical session on voluntarism and youth leadership on the
inaugural day while Mr Dhiren Kumar Behera, trainer, Skill Development Training
Centre, Badamba spoke on the role of youths on community mobilisation on the
second day. Mr K.C. Moharana spoke on the role of youths in rural development. Mr
S.K Singh Kapat of WorkSkill of India ltd. and Mr Kailash Chandra Nayak,
Coordinator, NABARD dealt on the role of youth on nation building. Mr. Alekh Kumar
Jena social activist, and Mr Alok Kumar Nayak, lecturer in political science, attended
as guests in the valedictory session. Certificates were distributed to the participants.
2015-2016  Neighbourhood Youth Parliament & Yoga Rehearsal:Neighbourhood Youth
(1no.) Parliament & Yoga Rehearsal was organized by WCWS in collaboration with Nehru
Yuva Kendra Sangathan, district office, Cuttack at Kishorenagar College,
Kishorenagar Cuttack on 19th June 2015.

2008-2009 Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Food Preservation: WCWS is making
attempt to preserve the seasonal fruits in Cuttack district by extending the training and
requisite support mechanism and growth of agriculture and allied sector and economic
prosperity of rural farmers and establish effective integration and synergy between
agriculture and agro based industries. Food Processing adds value, enhances shelf live of
the perishable agro-food products, encourage crop diversification and ensures
remunerative market price of the agricultural produce by marketing it more marketable.
WCWS is promoting food preservation and have conducted a training programme at
Choudwar, Dist. Cuttack.
2009-2010 Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Food Preservation: The Organization

conducted a Training Programme at Jamna, Kotasahi, Tangi, Cuttack .
2012-2013 Training Programme on Mahila Coir Yojana (MCY): Women & Child Welfare Society
conducted a Mahila Coir Yojana (MCY) 2 months training programme at Kulasamitanga,
Block: Salipur, Cuttack for 40 nos. women benificiaries supported by Coir Board, Regional
Office, Bhubaneswar
