Flight Legs are incremented when the refuel panel door is opened and refuel mode is set for 2 seconds. Cycling power to the AFFC does not cause the flight Leg to increment. The LEDs show the fault status for the current flight leg. The fault data from the previous 19 flight legs is stored in the AFFC memory. You can connect an ARINC 429 reader to the ARINC 429 port (J3) on the front of the AFFC to get data from memory. External Status LED Fault Patterns Specified Faults are identified using combinations of red green LEDs. When all four LEDs are green, there is no fault condition. TABLE 101 shows the possible LED pattern and related fault condition. The fault priority is given from the top of the table. If more than one fault is active, the AFFC will show the higher priority fault only. TABLE 101 AFFC External Status LED Patterns
Priority Code LED Pattern Fault found
Code (G = green R = red) 0 GGGG No fault found 1 GGGR Auto feed select invalid OR auto feed maintain invalid 2 GGRG Center relay fault 3 GGRR Left inner relay fault 4 GRGG Right inner relay fault 5 GRGR Center tank calibration sensor fault 6 GRRG Inner pumps on center pumps enabled 7 GRRR Center pumps on during test 8 RGGG Center pumps off when enabled 9 RGGR Right inner pumps off when enabled 10 RGRG Left inner pumps off when enabled 11 RGRR Center pumps on inner pumps enabled 12 RRGG Inner pumps off but tank not empty 13 RRGR AFFC configuration invalid 14 RRRG Outer tanks contents reducing and center tank not empty 15 RRRR Outer tanks contents reducing and inner tanks not empty
Troubleshooting Using the Fault LEDs
When the AUTO FUEL FEED FAULT message is shown on the ECAM, the AFFC fault LEDs show the fault. It is recommended that for any reported AUTO FUEL FEED FAULT, the first course of action is to access the AFFC and note the LED fault pattern shown. Based on the LED pattern, the appropriate troubleshooting procedure can be used to find the cause of fault. When an AUTO FUEL FEED FAULT occurs, the AFFC also causes either all four inner tank pump P/BSW fault lights OR both center tank pump P/BSW fault lights on panel 430VU to come on.
