ABSTRACT
The great competitiveness that exists today in the field of civil construction
requires companies belonging to this industry to seek to optimize their processes,
achieving the highest possible productivity in the use of its resources. Currently
one of the most controlled by those responsible for the projects resources is labor,
there is a lot of tools and disseminated in order to improve the productivity of this
resource however, it neglects the opportunity methodologies improve productivity
through supervision, in many cases companies only conduct monthly checks the
status of their consumption of materials for items control, which are in charge of
the warehouse managers who devote little or no analysis to topic productivity of
resources. This paper presents the reality of the consumption of materials and
poor performance of workers thus presenting low productivity of workers in the
absence of supervision finds in the various construction companies in the region.
Because of the problems that has been building as the existing financial
uncertainty, the defection of skilled labor (the workers have engaged in other
trades, which produces no continuity in the implementation of projects with the
same workers lowering productivity), the missed deadlines, the few quality
standards applied in construction and poor continuity of processes; construction
should rethink the processes carried so far and further enhance the achievement
of the projects.

Además el supervisor de obra debe saber cómo llevar a cabo su reporte diario
de avance de obra, fuerza de trabajo, maquinaria activa inactiva, y notas
específicas que solo conciernen a la empresa para quien trabaja, así podrá tener
el respaldo necesario sobre la entrada y salida de materiales, equipo,
rendimientos, mano de obra, destajos y tener presente la requisición de
materiales. También se conocerá al supervisor de obra como responsable de
coordinar y controlar las acciones de registro faltantes en planos, para que al final
de la obra y en la recepción de la misma se anexen los planos actualizados en
los aspectos de obra civil e instalaciones.
La competitividad está relacionada con la calidad, los bajos costos, los tiempos,
la eficiencia, la innovación y los nuevos métodos de trabajo.
