ORIENTACIONES

 In this unit we’ll make sentences using the present simple in


affirmative, interrogative and negative form for talking about
routines,habits and facts.

 Remember that it’s necessary to use the auxiliaries DO and


DOES to ask questions.
 For making sentences in negative form you have to use the
auxiliaries DON’T and DOESN’T and the VERB ( base
form)
 We will learn where to place the frequency adverbs when
working with Present Simple.

cuando formulamos preguntas en Presente Simple.

ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY

• Frequency Adverbs are used to express


• approximately how many times a customary or
habitual action or condition is repeated. They are
not generally used with continuous tenses.

• Affirmatives : Always, almost always, usually ,


frequently, often , sometimes, occasionally.

• Negatives : Seldom , rarely , hardly ever ,


never , almost never..

• Interrogative : Ever?

SIMPLE PRESENT-Frequency adverbs


• Remember that we use this tense to talk about routines,normal
everyday activities. The things that you must do on a normal work
day.
1. I usually have breakfast at 7:30.
2. She seldom starts studying at 8:30.
3. We always have lunch at noon.
4. I sometimes go to the cinema with my friends in the evening.
5. Often we surf the internet.
6. I always take sugar in my
coffee.
7. My grandmother goes for a walk once a week.
8. They attend marketing conventions twice a month.
9. Frank and Sylvia travel to Paris several times a year.

INVESTIGACIÓN SUGERIDAS
o Remember the use of Present Tense for routines and habits.The
formation is easy just consider the spelling rules of the verbs.

o The Present Simple has many uses.So be careful with that!

o Don’t forget to use auxiliaries for making questions and negative


form.
o You can use Frequency adverbs to explain how often you do an
activity. Don’t forget the position when working with Present
Simple.
