 PREFACE

MBA is a steeping stone to the management career. In order to achieve practical, positive
and concert results the classroom learning need to be effectively feted to the realities to
the situation existing outside the classroom, this is practical true in management.

Every study is incomplete without having a well plan and concrete exposure to the
student. Management studies are not exceptions. Scope of the work at this level is very
ranging.

The study of management only with theoretical knowledge is just like a wondering ship
in the ocean without a compass so at the side it provides sound basis to adopt the
theoretical knowledge and on the other hand it gives opportunity for exposure to real
market situation. It gives him the base practical experience which serves him as a
compass in the directionless ship, this enables the ship to reach its destination against all
odds from all of its rivals.

Theoretical and practical knowledge are complimentary to each other. Manager should
have sound conceptual knowledge, which is the basic foundation for successful
management practices. Management students have good conceptual understanding but
practical knowledge of business activities is somewhat inadequate.

So in order to acquaint themselves about management practice they are required to

undergo a project. This project gives the student an opportunity to have a first hand
knowledge of business activities and add to their existing stock of information.

I am really very much benefited by this project.
