HIGHLIGHTS AND INSIGHTS (MAY 8, 2018)

HIGHLIGHTS:
 First time to provide care for 5 patients
 First time to re-insert IV line (with guidance of buddy nurse)
INSIGHTS:
Boy, it sure was tiring! It was my first day again being back at the bedside, and one thing I
must say is that I really missed doing this, but I also admit that I really needed to adjust again
(since I was a head nurse for 2 weeks and the nature of work is somehow different). But, I
realized that thanks to my experience in the past of handling 4 patients, I believe that my
motor skills have been retained in my memory that I do not feel that much overwhelmed (I
believe that I can still improve on my time management and efficiency). I am thankful that
today, I have not done anything harmful for my patients and to the unit. Hopefully,
tomorrow, I will be able to perform my tasks more efficiently, considering that I will another
patient in my workload (for a total of 6 patients).
