student an opportunity to ask questions on the regularly assigned problems.
These problems are not to be handed in but it is essential that you work through
them in order to understand the course material. Tests will be given during the
lab. Your chances of performing well in this course are increased considerably
if you work on the course on a regular basis.

Important: There will be no make-up tests. If any of the tests are missed with valid reasons,
this will be compensated for by prorating the final exam. Every doctor's
certificate must bear the original signature of the attending physician. No
calculators are allowed on tests or exams. If you have written all your tests and
obtained at least 50% on this material, your final exam mark will be used to
determine your final grade, provided it exceeds your term mark.

Withdrawal: Consult the University Calendar for the last day to withdraw without academic
penalty from this course.

Policies: Please refer to Section VII of the University Calendar for policies regarding the
course grading system, appeals and academic misconduct.
