Check that all items to be weighed are installed in the aircraft Seats must be in forward position 2. Aircraft must be on level surface (if platform scales are not used). 3. Drain all fuel from tanks by opening all fuel drain valves 4. Aircraft must be clean and free of excessive interior and exterior dit 5, Aircraft must be weighed in closed hangar or area protected against wind 6. Fill engine oil and hydraulic reservoirs 7. Record missing components, equipment, engine oil and hydraulic fluid status 8. All control surfaces must be cenlered, retracted, housed and locked in piace 9. Landing gear struts must be in static condition 10. Brakes must be off 11. Before weighing, read weighing kit manufacturer's instruction manuial 12. Equipment required for weighing aircraft on its a. Deflate main gear strut, on high side of aircraft, until bubble in spirit evel is centered 2. Longitudinal levelling a. Place spirit level on seat tracks in middle of cabin (at sta 326.8 in) in fore and af direction b. Compress or extend nose gear strut until bubble in spint level is centered 3. Determine values of & and B by Bt. 8-2) B. Weighing Aircraft on Jack Points 1. Check that forward fuselage and wing jack pads are installed in aircraft Install main landing gear actuator safety locks (if available). Warm up the weighing kit for about 15 minutes (or according to ‘weighing kit manufacturer's manual) 4. Set the cells on their respective jacks then zero set all scale readings. 5. Place spirit level, (see Weighing on Wheels, paragraphs Ava and A2a, above). 6, Raise wings symmetrically until lateral leveling is attained with wheels off ground, Raise forward fuselage until lngitudinal leveling is attained with wheels off ground, (Continued) 28 Oct 2010 Vull-T Gutrstream 200 "AIRPLANE FLIGHT MANUAL Section VIll occa Weight and Balance TOC tain 8-2) 9. Lower aircraft lo ground or onto the ‘saddle’ supports (eliminates lowering aircraft and much of the leveling adjustments required for second weighing). Read residual (tare) loads at each weighing point 10. Subtract or add tare corrections, as applicable and record net weights, 11, Verify results by repeating the weighing (steps 4 to 10), after switching load cells clockwise or counterclockwise 12. From the two weighings record differences for nose net weights and total net weights. 43. Ifnose difference exceeds 12 Ib or total difference exceeds 25 Ib, rotate cells and repeat the weighing (steps 4 to 10) until this requirement is satisfied by using only the results of the last two (consecutive) weighings. Only if within the last two additional weighings this requirement is not satisfied, the weighing kit is considered inaccurate 14, Calculate average nose net weight and average total net weight ‘rom the above two weighings. 8-2: note that when ‘weighing on jack points, no physical measuring is required, Vue. 28 Oct 2010 Gutrstream 200 "AIRPLANE FLIGHT MANUAL [Leack_] Section Vlll TOC Main Weight and Balance JACKING POINTS Weighing Aircraft Weighing Aircraft with ‘on its Wheels Electronic Load Cells, Wheel Reaction Distances Jack Point Reaction Distances A= 165,000 in (approximate) L = 459.370 in B = 456.496 in (approximate) E = 105.945 in Dimension C- Determine the distance by measuring © between the fuselage jack point (arm 105.945 in} to center of nose landing gear axle Dimension D- Determine the distance by measuring D between the fuselage jack point (arm 105.945 in) to center of main landing gear axle Dimension A- Horizontal distance from datum (sta. 0} to center of nose landing gear axle, A=C+105.945 in Dimension B- Horizontal distance from datum (sta 0) to center of main landing gear axle, B=D+105.945 in, NOTE The datum (station 0) is located 105.948 in, forward of frame sta, 105.945 in, (forw fuselage jack point) Figure 8-1.
