Ecology and Faith Community

In an era of ever expanding environmental consciousness, I believe ruling entails showing love
and compassion in everything we do, and ensuring that we as God’s children are carrying out his
request of caring for all his creations. It is up to us to protect and care for our Earth, as we are in
control of what is to come in the generations to come. We need to take care of the resources our
Earth provides us, and we need to be more aware of the impacts we are making, positive or
negative. As educators we need to remind our students and set examples of ways to continually
help and protect our earth.

I believe that we are called to remain sensitive to the economy of the earth as it relates to all
elements of creation, not just humans. God created all, man kind, animals, plants, etc. to all
share and live together in peace on Earth. We need to respect our land and protect the
economy as we are dependent on the survival of all of God’s creations.
