Since Bariis Lake is slowly rising up Bulan and it’s local communities should
again after the typhoon Nona the activities
that exist are still present but needs to be
redevelop again.The development of industrial
symbiosis networks in most parts of the world
demonstrates that there are benefits attached
to them and there are more opportunities that
could be pursued, but the exploitation of those
opportunities are limited due to the lack of a
comprehensive model to evaluate the
industrial symbiosis projects, along with many
other reasons(A.Agarwal et al..2006). This
study demonstrating to prospect the
development of Bariis Lake so the waiting
opportunity to the people of Bulan will led
them to start it’s enhancement in the area so it
will never be lack again in implementing the
plans that already designed. The recognition
of ecotourism in creating opportunities for the
development, protection and sustainable use
of biodiversity and of natural areas by
encouraging local and indigenous
communities is a known fact, at present,
which is supported widely. This fact
encourages Member States to promote
investment in ecotourism, in accordance with
their national legislation, including creating
small and medium-sized enterprises and
cooperatives such as microcredit initiatives for
the poor, local and indigenous communities,
in areas of ecotourism potential and rural
areas(C.Prakash 2013). The development of
Bariis Lake encouraging the local community
to help regain Bariis Lake’s natural beauty and
also investors inside or outside the
municipality of Bulan will be a good
contribution for it’s development.
In other study; the green design of park
infrastructure and plants (new or retrofitted);
cleaner production, pollution prevention;
energy efficiency; and inter-company
partnering. An EIP also seeks benefits for
neighboring communities to assure that the
net impact of its development is
positive.(Love 2006) hence the LGU’s of
uphold events such as tree planting etc... to
maintain the relaxing ambiance of the park
and replace the damaged trees caused by
natural disasters. Also an eco-industrial park is
a community of manufacturing and service
businesses seeking to enhanced environmental
and economic performance through
collaboration in managing environmental and
resource issues, including energy, water, and
materials. Thus by working together, the
community of businesses seeks a collective
benefit that is greater than the sum of the
individual benefits each company would
realize if it optimized its individual
performance only(OECD 2006). So the future
investors of Bariis Lake will have to work
together to chase the economic growth and
resources with an collaboration of the
businesses and outlets within the area. Then if
an eco-industrial park (EIP) became a
community of businesses that cooperate with
each other and with the local community to
efficiently share resources (information,
materials, water, energy, infrastructure and
natural habitat), leading to economic gains,
improved environmental quality, and equitable
enhancement of human resources for business
and local community(Cape 2006). So in order
to reach the maximum development capacity
of Bariis Lake the contributions of the
businesses local community and other
investors from the neighboring municipality
will also have it’s role to play in the increase
of economy in the country and also helps open
up more job opportunities not for just the
people of Bulan but also to it’s neighboring
towns. Therefore EIPs can exist within
defined boundaries and broader industrial
ecosystems in a region. These communities
consciously collaborate to enhance their
economic performance through improved
environmental performance. Their design is
based, in part, on an understanding of the
dynamics of natural systems and includes
features such as conversion of wastes into
valuable inputs, co-generation of energy,
shared environmental infrastructure, and the
minimization of material throughput(K. Weitz,
et al... 2006) and with the continuous help of
the community to the Bariis Lake we may
improve the performance of returning the park
to it’s former beauty. And hence we could also
enhance it’s development much further. And
to provide serviced sites for a community of
compatible industries, as per most dictionary
definitions. They may range from open
acreage that the developer sells as lots to fully
controlled developments in which buildings
and sites are leased to the occupants and may
be spread over a near ranging from 10 acres to
over 2,000 acres(Sharma 2013). With the
concept of co-locating businesses involved in
the recovery of materials and the manufacture
of recycled products has been around for a
number of years. In the United Kingdom the
Eco-Park (aka Resource Recovery Park)
concept has for some time been seen as part of
the answer to stimulating economic growth
and enterprise in regions that have seen a
decline and depression of the more traditional
core industries(G. Kane et al. . . 2005).
Therefore with the development of Bariis
Lake are now in place and with being
achieved through the development of new and
innovative management systems with a
special focus on tourism-related uses of these
sites. Concurrently, awareness raising and
capacity building systems are being developed
and implemented in the future and to ensure
long term effects(Babia Gora Association
2006). Through the potential of rural areas to
contribute to sustainability by recasting their
relationships with the increasingly contested
business economy. By deriving concepts from
a variety of theoretical strands, it is argued
that it is appropriate to consider rural areas as
distinguishable areas for developing and
enhancing the eco-economy(L. Kitchen et
al. . . 2009). With all of the concepts so far we
begun to understands that there’s a lot of
possibility to raise the eco-economy of Bariis
Lake that we can continuously maintain it’s
development and enhance it’s every facilities.
But with the ongoing transition from an
agriculture-based to a service economy,
climate change, and accelerated infrastructural
development threaten the Bariis Lake’s
biodiversity and society. Glass(2006) said as
rural areas give way to urban development,
already scarce resources, including fresh
water and energy sources, are stretched to
their limit. May end up destroying it rather
than developing it. But with careful plans of
developing Bariis Lake this may be avoided.
With the aspects of industrial ecology fit
closely with the study of local economic
development. With the regional and local
tourism stakeholder perceptions of a
sustainable tourism development strategy
(STDS) in Protected Area Network (PAN)
