Project Profile for Wet Wipes

Introduction:

A wet wipe (called a moist towelette) is effectively a

moistened piece of cloth which is used for cleaning purposes.
Wipes can be a paper, tissue or nonwoven; they are subjected
to light rubbing or friction, in order to remove dirt or liquid
from the surface. Consumers want wipes to absorb, retain or
release dust or liquid on demand. One of the main benefits that
wipes provide is convenience – using a wipe is quicker and
easier than the alternative of dispensing a liquid and using
another cloth/paper towel to clean or remove the liquid.

Production process:

The nonwoven fabric is slit and rewinded using slitting machine and a big nonwoven roll is
converted into smaller rolls in suitable widths for Wet Wipe production machine. Wet
wipes production machine impregnates a variety of nonwoven materials with the required
chemicals and folds nonwoven in order to convert fabric into a wet wipe. This flat pack
converting machine has adjustable folding plates, sensitive liquid dosing system, servo
controlled unwinding system, edge control and quick lotion /format change. This
converting machine can deliver from 80 – 200 wet wipes/minute.
