Precision vs Accuracy

❖ Precision means the value of repeated measurements

are clustered and have little scatter
❖ Accuracy means that the measured value is very close to
the true value.
Plan Quality

❖ Process of identifying quality requirements and/or

standards for the project and product, and documeting
how the project will demonstrate compliance
Cost Of Quality
Control Chart
Quality Assurance

❖ Process of auditing the quality requirements and the

results from quality control measurements to ensurea
appropriate quality standards and operational
definitions are used
Quality Control

❖ Process of monitoring and recording results of executing

the quality activities to assess performance and
recommend necessary changes
Terms in Quality Control
❖ Prevention (keeping errors out of the process)
❖ Inspection (keeping errors out of the hands of customer)
❖ Attribute Sampling (the result either conforms or does not
conform)
❖ Variables Sampling (the result is rated on a continous scale that
measure the degree of conformity)
❖ Tolerance (specified range of acceptable result)
❖ Control Limits (thresholds, which can indicate whether the
process is out of control)
