Role Title Software Engineer –Testing

Location Hyderabad

The incumbent is required to actively build the Quality Assurance Practice at abhra by
defining, moulding, promoting and supporting overall test practices, strategies, tools, and
metrics across a portfolio of applications/products ensuring best practices adoption and
consistency in testing execution and outcomes. The role incumbent shall participate all
aspects of design, develop, implement, testing and operating automation & manual
software test suites at abhra.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE

An ideal candidate would have a blended experience of both automation and web services
testing and would thrive in helping define best release and testing processes, building
reliable and easy-to-use developer and QA tools, and enjoy owning tasks from “cradle to
grave”.
• 2 to 4 years’ experience in a formal software testing environment, with a solid
understanding of Software Development & Testing Life Cycle and Methodologies.
• Hands on experience in GUI automation (such as Selenium or QTP) and API
automation (such as JUnit) using off the shelves tools.
• Experience in Web services testing is must
• Experience in testing enterprise business applications with strong understanding of
coding in Open source technologies - JAVA, LAMP, MEAN, and strong computer
fundamentals like Collections, Data structure, Multi-threading, Spring and modern
micro-service Java stacks, as well as JUnit, JMeter or other testing technologies.
• Experience with functional & non-functional testing.
• Help speed up regression cycles by identifying areas of automation opportunities.
• Strong hands-on experience with SaaS, Cloud computing technologies, Amazon Web
Services, EC2 or comparable
• Strong knowledge of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer and
experience testing web-based enterprise applications/products
• Solid understanding of client-server application.

• Strong application design, development skills and troubleshooting abilities, disciplined

and detail oriented.
• Actively contribute to growing knowledge base for our applications & products, and
interface with external teams as required.

 • Ensure timely and accurate communication with Project Lead & Delivery Manager and
Senior Management throughout the life cycle of each release.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

• A Bachelor's /Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information

technology is essential for this role.

• At least 2 years of software testing experience on QA automation systems and tools.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Though the role demands incumbent to function from Hyderabad, India, s/he should be
open to occasionally travelling within India & globally based on need of the Organization for
a short duration.

The usual working hours would be 10 AM – 7 PM IST but the incumbent should
be sporadically comfortable working 1- 10 PM or 2 – 11PM IST shifts as well.
