Nowadays watching films is a very popular way of spending the leisure time, and the film directors and

producers really want to make sure that there are enough opportunities available for us in this respect
and that they produce films of all kinds to satisfy everyone's taste. A film I have seen and really stayed in
my memory was The Conjuring 2. This is a 2016 american horror film directed by James Wan. Patrick
Wilson and Vera Farmiga play the specific roles of the paranormal investigators as Ed and Lorraine
Warren. This movie takes place in Britain, Enfiled in 1977. What is also worth mentioning, and what
made some shiver, is that this film is based on the true case files of the real life Warrens.

The film follows the Warrens as they travel to Britain to assist the Hodgson family who are experiencing
poltergeist activity in their house. Janet, the second oldest of four children is seen sleepwalking and
speaking in her dreams with a spirit of an old man, who insists that the house is his. By the time the
family sees paranormal events occuring right before their eyes. When the media attempts to interview
the Hodgsons, Janet is possessed by the old man, Bill Wilkins, who had previously lived and died in that
house. As Janet begins to show more signs of demonic possession, the story reaches the Warrens who
are requested to help th family, but, unfortunately, it turns out that they have to face something much
more dangerous and intelligent than the spirit of the old man.

The acting is flawless. The fear of the Hodgson family is very spectacular and realistic, the panic and
whatever conflict it causes is clearly expressed. There are the Warrens, the positive characters, who try
to do their best to save the family, whereas, there are negative characters also as unbeliever journalists,
who prevent the investigation wanting the Warrens to leave. Another fascinating and exciting aspect of
the fim is the twist that occurs when the Warrens find out what a huge mistake it was to leave the
Hodgson family and return to face and to destroy the evil entity.

On the whole, The Conjuring 2 is a well worth seeing movie, I highly recommend it to all horror lovers.
The plot line is elaborate enough, well made, the story is very exciting and it increases the tensity.
