On Thursday June 14, 2018 a female BC student reported that while walking around the
Chestnut Hill Reservoir on Friday, June 8, 2018 between 9:00-9:45 p.m. she was approached
by two white males who physically assaulted her. The student described the males as being in
their late 20’s, to early 30’s. One of the individuals had a Boston accent. One of the males
was described as having a skinny build and the other with an average build. One of the two
was described as wearing jeans and a hoodie, but the student was not able to provide any fur-
ther descriptions. The victim was able to break free and flee the area without further incident.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police.

BC Police remind you to consider the following safety tips:

 If possible, avoid walking alone at night. There is strength in numbers.
 Don’t forget the BC Eagle Escort Service. Call us at 617-552-8888, or 617-552-4440.
 Do not take shortcuts through dark and isolated areas. Keep to well-lit, commonly
used areas.
 Walk purposely, know where you are going, and project a look of self-assurance.
 Make yourself aware of where you can get help should you need it.
 Report suspicious behavior and activity to authorities immediately.
 Call 617-552-4444 on campus or 911 off campus.
