Welcome to issue 3 of The Keepers Of The Realms Magazine.

This week we have some great things for you. In addition to our
amazingly accurate horoscopes and chinese astrology for the week and
always candid and entertaining Movie Reviews from our very own Lady
Pandora, we also have some wonderful work
from two of our resident poets, a listing of fetish balls and the
like happening around America and Canada! We also have a great sister
site featured this week, we hope u all go and check it out, you wont be
disappointed. Please don't forget to stop by our featured groups, join up
and get active!

We are also doing a theme contest for Halloween & this contest will
run to the last week of September so please get those themes into us,
you can post them in the Our Graphics collection

3/21 – 4/19

Taking the first few days of the week step-by-step is the best way to survive the frantic -- albeit

SHIELDING
Much like grounding, it is very important to understand and employ shielding before trying more
advanced energy work.
Shielding is basically being able to create an energy field around you that allows you to control the
energy you pick up from the outside world as well as the energy you give off in turn. You may
choose to create a shield that blocks everything or one that only filters certain things out. That is
up to you. Most people have natural shields that pop up into place given a certain situation. They
don't even realizing they are doing it. Like the shield people will use while walking to their car at
night, the don't mess with me or I will use my mace, shield. Shielding is just employing an energy
field consciously for an intended purpose.

Why learn to shield? When Wiccans or Pagans employ energy to improve psychic skills they
naturally become more sensitive the their surrounding environment. Shielding helps filter out
distracting “noise” and negative energy given off by everyone around them. Sometimes we have
to deal with “toxic” people we have to work with or cannot avoid. Shielding helps keep the
negative energy these people can exude from sticking to us or affecting us negatively.
There are many different ways to visualize a shield. Pick the one that works best for you.
Close your eyes and ground, then draw the energy from the earth into yourself to create your
shield. Take the energy and use it to shape, mold and create the shield that best suits you.

THE BUBBLE
Some people will use the energy to create a bubble around themselves. When you create a shield,
it should move with you. You can practice keeping your shield up while doing other tasks. You
can choose whatever color or shape of shield works best for you.

THE CLOAK
Some people like to visualize their shield as a type of cloak and hood that is worn to shield. It
really doesn't matter what technique is employed as long as it works for you.

THE RING OR BALL

Some people use a ring or ball or fire, or ice, or electric energy as their shield.

THE WALL
Imagine a wall either invisible or solid of any color or substance you wish.

THE EXOSKELETON
Imagine that your skin is hard, impenetrable armour.
Whatever method you decide to go with is completely up to you. Make one up if you so desire. As
long as it works for you, that is all that counts. Remember, shielding is strictly defensive. It is
using energy for the purpose of blocking interfering energy from outside sources.
Practice raising and lowering your shield at will. Play around with it and with the different
methods used to employ the shield. Practice doing this in different environments until you
become proficient at it. Being able to both ground and shield are the basic building blocks of
being successful in meditation and pathworking as well as performing rituals. Practice, practice,
practice. I cannot emphasize this enough.

GROUNDING
A Basic overview
One of the most vital skills a Wiccan can learn is called “grounding” or “grounding and
centering”. The earth is one of the greatest sources of energy. Since it is alive with life in all forms
and shapes it constantly radiates energy. The earth can also store and neutralize energy. When
Wiccans draw upon energy to perform rites, they do not usually use personal energy that is
needed for everyday life but they tap energy from the earth to use for such purposes. When an
individual raises too much energy creating an excess or when an individual picks up bad energy
from another source the individual can return this excess or unwanted energy to the earth to be
stored or neutralized. This is called grounding.
Many Wiccans begin a ritual by grounding in order to shake off any bad vibes or negative energy
picked up during the day by a stressful day at work or an argument with a friend. This allows a
person to center and focus on the task at hand without the residual negative energy of the day
blocking or hindering efforts. This is a most important skill since one should not summon up
something one does not know how to get rid of again. If you raise energy you should also know
how to get rid of energy. This not only allows you to keep from overcharging but also allows you
to get rid of unwanted negative energy that has been picked up from other sources.
Usually if you feel dizzy, queezy, wound up, nervous or a bit drunk, it is time to ground. This
helps rid extra energy or negative energy causing these feelings that will hinder ritual efforts and
pathworking. There are many different techniques that can be employed. I will list some and it
will be up to you to decide which ones you wish to try that may work best for you. Remember,
Wicca is a personal experience for everyone, and once you find the technique that works for you,
go with it. There are several different ways to ground. No one way is considered the right way.
The Taproot
Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Sit, relax and take a few deep breathes. Now,
visualize a glowing root that extends from the base of your spine and goes straight into the earth.
Imagine that energy can both flow from you into the earth and come from the earth to go back
into you. Visualize all the excess and unwanted or bad energy in one color, let's say blue, flowing
from you down the root into the earth to be stored, neutralized and reused at a later time. Now
visualize another color, let's say gold, or the positive and revitalizing energy you need to center
and re-balance for ritual efforts coming back from the earth to flow into you and flow throughout
your entire body giving you the peace and positive energy needed to perform rituals. Imagine
yourself glowing with this energy. Feel it flowing to your fingertips and the top of your head.
Now take any excess energy and push it back down through the taproot into the earth. Make sure
only to push out the extra energy while maintaining your personal energy needed for everyday

 life.
Doing this enough times will cause the taproot to become a more tangible thing for you. It will
become easier and you will soon find that you are able to ground anywhere with little effort.
QUICK GROUNDING TECHNIQUES AND VISUALIZATIONS
BREATHING
Stand or sit with your eyes closed and take deep breathes. Visualize the bad energy leaving your
body with each exhale. Only the bad or unwanted energy, be sure to retain your personal energy
when doing this.
SHAKING HANDS
You can shake your hands like you are shaking off water. Visualize the bad or excess energy
shaking off your hands just like water. Be mindful of where you do this however since you do not
want to shake off the energy at someone accidentally.
STONES OR CRYSTALS
You can use stones or crystals to ground with. I find a smokey quartz single point does the nicely
for me but find whatever works best for you. Play around with different stones feeling the energy
with each and decide which one feels the best for you. You can put the stone up to your forehead,
or third eye, or just hold it in your hand. Push the unwanted energy into the stone or crystal and
ground this way. To neutralize the stone or crystal place it in a bowl or sea salt for a bit to renew
it.
WATER
Running water is a good quick way to ground. You can do this either in the shower or a running
stream. Just visualize the bad or excess energy running out of your body with the water. Use
caution when employing these techniques so you don't slip and fall.
EATING
Eating something can bring you back to ground quickly. Avoid anything with caffeine or sugar
that will wind you up or make you shake. Small quantities will do, overeating will only make your
stomach uncomfortable. A piece or cheese or slice or bread does nicely for this.
THE DIRECT ROUTE
Simply lay or kneel on the ground becoming close to the earth and visualize the extra unwanted
energy draining from you straight into the ground. Direct contact can be both powerful and
soothing.

I stumbled into it one day, this channeling, waking up with Arabic in my head. Only later did I
even come to know it was Arabic. All I knew at the time was that it was a foreign language and it
was echoing in my head like the theme from a sitcom. On endless rotation. Later that morning, I
saw a beautiful dark woman in a very expensive black lace nightgown lounging in my bathroom
door- except it was not MY bathroom door and it was not MY memory.
Having seen spirits all my life and having trained weekly for two years in the art of spirit contact,
this really did not upset me. What stuck out was how attracted to the woman I was – and in such
a husbandly fashion. I was pondering this as I ran over the curb at MacDonald’s on the way to
work.
I was at work when a coworker’s radio announced the death by assassination of an Arabic leader.
Now I was upset. And I did not know why. Although I had known nothing of the man, I went
into what can ONLY be described as clinical shock. I had to leave work when I was recovered
enough to do so. I went to bed. The voice grew louder and louder in my head, until, by sheer force
of will I silenced it – for several months.
After such a disquieting experience, I left the topic strictly alone. I researched nothing. However, I
did reread Seth Speaks.
One day, a friend came by and while we were discussing World War II, he literally fainted. We
carted him to the sofa. Not convinced he was “out”, I asked if he could hear me. He answered in a
different voice. More than ever unconvinced, I spent the next two hours questioning him and
recording his responses. His story was fascinating. But I was not convinced, nor would I be until I
took that journey for myself.
The next Thursday we gathered and listened to Ed channel for the first hour. Then, although it
was not preplanned, I announced that I would like to try. I envisioned aligning my chakras in
what could best be described as a hollowed out tube, stepped aside and whoosh. I have heard the
tape. The first word on it is “Bismiallah.” That is the Arabic word that had haunted me so many
months before.
After those two hours, there was no holding my then-husband back from researching the notes
he had taken during the session. That word meant, “By the grace/will of Allah” and was a
common way for the fallen leader, who was also a mystic, to start his speeches. The woman in my
bathroom was undeniably his wife. All this is true and was witnessed by over 30 people over a
period of 3 years at my home.
The woman who is now my wife knows very little of this. Moreover, writing this is one of the
bravest things I have done. That is why I needed to write this as a personal account. I did not
know any other way.

Not since jaws has a movie made me not want to go swimming lol this one is a remake of
the classic. I usually get angry at remakes because that is one of my pet peeves I hate when
they remake classics but this one was quite enjoyable. I guess what made it fun was the 3D
to have those little suckers jumping right out of the screen, I loved it. I say this is a
watcher if you are bored and a perfect first date movie. Trust me she will be all over you

Mary looked at Lilith with wonder how do I tell her what happened and why I am running
she tried to tell papa but he did not believe her called her “the devils spawn” she never understood
papa’s hatred towards her all her life. Then Lilith smile and say “my dear it was not your fault
things always seem to happen when you get angry”. Lilith said with an evil smile that sent shivers
down Mary spine. Mary looks at her and says “it was not my fault he wouldn’t stop”! She gasps.
All she could hear in her head was papa saying “you will pay for the evil you have done”! Why did
he hate her so much? “It will be ok my child we are hated for what we are”. Lilith just giggled and
looked at her with those burning red eyes “why are her eyes so red”? She wondered. “Well dear I
will tell you why you here you are in hiding because they accuse you of horrible things you have
no control of isn’t that true my child”. Lilith said. She goes on to say “you have no control of what
happens when you get angry people get hurt am I right”. Lilith says with an evil smile. Mary looks
surprised, “yes I have no control it was an accident I didn’t mean for the reverend to die he
wouldn’t stop I just wanted him to stop and he just grabbed his chest and feel over I didn’t mean
it I didn’t”! Mary falls to the floor sobbing “please you have to help me they want to burn they say
I am a witch please can you help me”? Mary pleads. Lilith looks at her and tilts her head and says
“my child why do you think you are here I wouldn’t let just anyone here I have been waiting for
you for so long my child”. She says. “For me why”? Mary asked puzzled all Lilith could do was
laugh a blood curdling laugh that made Mary shake to her very soul. Why would she be waiting
for me she thought she arose from the floor slowly because the look in Lilith eyes scared her, then
Lilith smiled and to Mary horror her teeth had grown sharper they looked deadly “please Mary
says I have to go I find someone else to help me I can go to the next town and ask for help”. Mary
says. She turns to run but Lilith grabs her from behind, “you are mine child I have waited so long

for you to grow”. Lilith throws her head back and sinks her teeth into Marie’s neck she screams in
horror. Mary closes her eyes and waits for death to come but it doesn’t she gets a disturbing
vision of all the victims that Lilith has killed but there was one that made her heart melt “mama”
Mary yells………………..

strapped to a table and eaten alive by a drooling demonic horde.

PSYCHIC ADVICE

THE VAMPIRE BAT

A vampire bat came flapping in from the night covered in fresh blood and parked himself on
the roof of the cave to get some sleep.

Pretty soon all the other bats smelt the blood and began hassling him about where he got it.

in.

"OK, follow me," he said and flew out of the cave with hundreds of bats behind him.

Fixing the Headstone

Two men were walking home after a Halloween party and decided to take a shortcut through
the cemetery just for laughs. Right in the middle of the cemetery they were startled by a
