Phase 2

Examiner: (possible questions to Candidate A)

• What do you do in your free time?

• Where do you go with your friends?

Examiner: (possible questions to Candidate B)

• What do you usually do at the weekend?

• What did you do last weekend?

• Tell me about the place where you live. Thank you.

Part 2 (3-4 minutes)

Examiner:

Candidate A here is some information about a flat. (The examiner shows card 1A
to Candidate A.) Candidate B. you don't know anything about the flat so ask
Candidate A some questions about it. (The examiner shows card 1 B to Candidate
B.) Use these words to help you. Do you understand? Now, Candidate B. ask your
questions about the flat and Candidate A you answer them. Thank you.

(When the two candidates have asked and answered the questions about the flat,
they exchange roles and talk about a different topic.)
TEST 1 Candidate A
Examiner:

Now, Candidate B here is some information about rock climbing with a

climbing club. (The examiner shows card 1C to Candidate B), Candidate A
you don't know anything about the climbing club so ask Candidate B some
questions about it. (The examiner shows card 10 on page 108 to Candidate
A. Use these words to help you. Do you understand? Now, Candidate A ask
your questions about the climbing club and Candidate B you answer them.
