Attach additi nal sheets if necessary. Since the filing of my provious complaints, Mr. Manafort has beon indicted for committing very serious criminal offenses in violation of federal law. New information has come to light since the filing of my prior prior complaints and since the dismissal of those complaints that establishes probable cause to beliove that Mr. Manafort violated the Connecticut Rules of Professional Conduct. The most recent superseding indictment against Mr. Manafort that | am aware of is dated June 8, 2018. That indictment alloges illegal acts that occurred in February and April of 2018, long after my prior complaints were dismissed for lack of probably cause. | urge the Statewide Bar Counsel, the Statewide Grievance Committee and the Fairfield Grievance Panel to look into this present complaint and to re-open and re-examine the prior complaints that | flled in light ofthe indictments of Mr. Manafort and the new facts and information that have come to light. | understand that there is a probable requirement for obtaining an indictment in under federal law. A recent indictment against Mr. Manafort obtained by Special Counsel Robort Mueller can be viewed and downloaded from the website of the US. Departmont of Justice. Seo, https:/www justice. goviile!1070306/download. There are federal indictments against Mr. Manafort in Virginia and Washington, D.C. The charges include allegations of money laundering, tax evasion, violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, making false statements in violation of 18 U.S.C. sections 2, 1000(a) and 3551. ot. seq., ‘obstruction of justice, conspiracy to obstruct justice and participating in a conspiracy against the United States. The federal indictments against Mr. Manafort provide probable cause to believe that he has committed a crime involving dishonesty that makes him unfit to practice law. Based on this new information, as well as the prior complaints and information that | submitted, there is probable cause to boliove that Mr. Manafort has violated the Connecticut Rules of Professional Conduct, including, but not limited to, Rules 8.4 (2), 8.4(3), 8.4(4) and 8.4(8). Mr. Manafort has been indicted and accused of committing offenses while federal charges were pending against him. Mr. ‘Manafort’s willingness to commit crimes while he is released creates a serious threat to the public and to the integrity of our legal system.
