A fin de indagar más sobre el comportamiento conjunto del par de items que eva-
lúan cada una de los siete tipos de instrumentalidad presentaremos la matriz de
correlaciones entre dichos items.

Hemos recogido entre paréntesis el número de items tal y como quedan recogi-
dos en el Cuestionario ASH-MOT (ver anexo I).
Como puede observarse, también aquí encontramos que cada item muestra un
coeficiente de correlación mayor cuando se cruza con su pareja correspondiente
(casillas en diagonal y en gris). De ahí que las parejas de items que conforman
cada tipo de instrumentalidad se hayan respetado en la solución hallada por el
análisis factorial. Este hecho, junto con los elevados valores de los coeficientes,
nos deben servir para tomar como buena la formación de las medidas de los dife-
rentes tipos de instrumentalidad como la suma de los dos items que en el plano
teórico se han propuesto.

Aunque la solución factorial obtenida recoge unos valores en las cargas factoria-
les muy elevados para todos los items que conforman la escala, así como el mo-
delo en general parece tener un buen ajuste, el coeficiente KMO nos insta a ser
cautos con la solución. En gran medida, el valor bajo de este coeficiente viene
determinado por la no normalidad de los items de autoeficacia que claramente
presentan una simetría negativa (para detalles ver Quijano y Navarro, 2000). Por
esta serie de motivos, hemos realizado también un nuevo análisis factorial en es-
te caso confirmatorio con método de máxima verosimilitud.

Este modelo obtiene un índice de bondad de ajuste (Goodness of fit index) igual
a 0,990, un índice ajustado (Adjusted goodness of fit index) de 0,950 y un valor
promedio del cuadrado de los residuos (Root mean square residual) de 0,028.
Todos estos valores son suficientemente positivos para tomar como buena la es-
