1. PURPOSE

The method statement enumerated hereto represents an approach for the


construction/erection of temporary shelter not limited for G08 NCP Utilities Area and other
similar activity in accordance with the contract requirement for the welfare of manpower.

2. SCOPE OF WORK

2.1 General Description

The methodology discussed on this procedure will ensure that all activities and
execution of works from hauling ang transport, erection and construction of shelter for safe
usage shall be met based on standard degree of workmanship.

2.2 Tools and Equipment

The following items are the minimum equipment/ tools required for this specific scope
of work considering project scheduling requirements:

2. Scaffolding swivel clamp conforming safety/scaffolding standards.
3. Corrugated G.I. Sheet
4. Others: #16 G.I. Tie wire, 2 inch Tek screws, Vulca Seal.

2.4 Site planning & preparation

A pre-construction survey jointly with the Owner’s representative and Company shall be
undertaken to determine the extent and limits and location pre-approved by them.

2.5 Work Methodology

• To provide a detailed sequence for construction of temporary shelter near the


condensate polishing drain based from approved method statement.
OBJECTIVE
• To ensure that construction methods strictly conform to the specifications for the
on-time delivery and completion of specific scope of work of the project.
This procedure covers activities from site survey layout, delivery of material and
SCOPE assembly (construction) of the temporary shelter of workers for condensate
polishing drain construction.

NOTE 2:
1. Accomplish a Permit to Work (PTW) document including all other necessary
attachment related to scope of work to be undertaken. Attach all other permit
including hot work permit, survey permit, excavation permit, lifting permit, and
confined space entry/exit permit among others. Include also the Journey
Management Plan (JMP) and the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
NOTE 3:
1. All materials will be securely carried on the canter truck, by the EIC(DMCI) or
authorized Personnel, that upon arrival on site no other equipment on site is
needed to unload the materials.
2. In construction site, the allotted manpower will unload the materials and should
not work on heights.
NOTE 4:
1. The pre-assembled roof with post shall be erected in sequence. The lower roof
with shorter post shall be lifted by 4 persons and secure the post temporarily.
2. The higher roof with longer post will be lifted by 4-6 persons slowly. When the
extents reached the post will be secured temporarily.
3. Stiffeners will be firstly secured by the scaffolders using the pipes and swivel
clamps as delivered.
4. The seat will be next in pipes as part of the assembly to be installed by the
scaffolders.
5. The base jack shall be placed next, lifting the side of the shelter and the rest also.
6. For additional shelter to be erected, please repeat Note 4: 1 to 5.

NOTE 5:
1. After the main activity has finished, commence the demolition and transfer to the
next area for construction or haul out the materials if not needed anymore.

2.6 Organization, Responsibilities & Supervision

2.6.1 Personnel Organization

During the execution of work under this document the following personnel will be
deployed as minimum:

a. Project Supervisor/Field Engineer


b. Equipment In-charge
c. Safety Officer
d. PTW Receiver

2.6.2 Responsibility & Supervision

It is the responsibility of the Contractor’s staff and personnel to comply with the
procedures set out in this document. The responsibilities of the key personnel are
outlined for clarity and easy reference below.

a. Project Supervisor/Field Engineer:


1. Ensure that Construction Method Statement is strictly followed.
2. Monitor the implementation of work plan and on schedule.

b. Equipment In-charge:
1. Ensure that required equipment are available and in working condition.
2. Ensure that daily inspection checklist for each equipment are complied.
3. Ensure that equipment dispatch follows the approved schedule.

c. Safety Officer:
1. Ensure that all personnel have undergone safety induction/toolbox.
2. Ensure that all field personnel comply with the Owner HSSE plan
requirements.
3. Reports and investigate all accidents and incidents.

d. Permit Receiver/Coordinator
1. To coordinate with supervisor and area in-charge for all necessary permit
method statement and attachment.
2. Ensure that permit is complete, reviewed and submitted based on relevant
activity to undertaken.
3. Ensure that permit is submitted a day before work activity schedule duly
approved by the Company and the Owner.

each specific area.
5. Ensure a day to day close out of permit and re-application for continuous
activity for each area.

4.3 Information to Personnel

1. Tool box meeting or Safety Task Assign Meeting will be conducted by


Safety Officer or Supervisor to discuss work methodology and discuss
potential hazard and mitigation plan.
2. All safety related matters must be emphasized to the whole team.

4.4 Emergency Procedures

In case of Emergency situation, the Contractor should follow the Emergency


Response Procedure and, Emergency and Evacuation Response Plan submitted and
approved by the Company.
