RICE PROTOCOL TRENTO EXPERIENCE

STEP 1 – To disinfect the soil using IMO2

Using Carabao/ Farm Tractor – After first plowing, disinfect the soil, then in the second
plowing, disinfect the soil again.

NOTE: 8 to 10 tanks load sprayer are use to disinfect the soil.

MIXTURE: 2 cans tinapa/ solution/ tank load sprayer
2 cans tinapa/solution/tank load sprayer

STEP 2 –Prepare the area for seedbed and canalets

for transplanting the seedlings.

STEP 3 -Seed Treatment

Put inside the container 32 liters of water. Add 1 can pure coconut oil, 1 can OHN, and 1
can of FPJ. Mix it thoroughly.
Pour the seeds into the container then soak the seedlings for 8 hours.
After 8 hours, get the seeds from the container and transfer the seeds into the sack and
place it under running water or into the irrigation canal for 16 hours and incubate it for
36 hours, then spread the seeds into the seedbed.

STEP 4 – Application of IMO 5 as Basal for the land preparation 5 days before
transplanting.

STEP 5 – Schedule for spraying after transplanting

Then wait for harvest

 SEED & SEEDLING TREATMENT

1. Most of the modern seeds are weak.

2. In 3 liters of water, mix 2 tbsp of coconut vinegar, 2 tbsp of FPJ and 2 tbsp of
OHN. Place seeds in a net bag wire basket.
3. Soak seeds for 4 to 8 hours. The slower the seeds germinate the longer they
should be soaked. Plant immediately before they dry.
4. The seeds will develop thick cotyledons making it immune to worms. They will
also have good root development making them tolerable to diseases.
5. Before transplanting seedlings, do not water for 2 days. In 3 liters of water, mix 2
tbsp pf FPJ and 2 tbsp of OHN. Put in a container and soak the seedlings for 15
seconds. Immediately transplant the seedlings.
6. Sprinkle remaining mixture on plants after they are
transplanted.

Seed Treatment
