Park Board Meeting Minutes

April 10, 2018

City Hall

In attendance: Jennifer Eicholz, Mike Gruhlke, Michael Haeffner, Lynne

Anderson, Phil Markman, and Larry Anderson. Guests: Linda Pribyl and Arlene
Vee.

1. Pickle Ball: Arlene Vee and Linda Pribyl informed us about the game of
Pickle Ball and number of people who are playing in Jackson through the
Community Education Program. The Board asked questions about outside
play and the possibility of putting an outdoor court in Ashley Park when we
redo the tennis courts.

2. Bargen Representative: Not present. Michael will line up both company

Reps for our next meeting. They will provide suggestions and quotes for the
Ashley tennis courts.

3. Park Signs: Lynne reported that Jeff has materials to produce the signs. He
needs to know what color and wants information about locations. ACTION: Phil
will stop and visit with Jeff.

4. Park equipment painting: Jennifer reported that Matt and Sentence to

Serve will do painting AFTER the Jackson Co. Fair. They will be working at
Fairgrounds prior to Fair.

5. Phil’s report: Of four needed summer workers, Bailey and Connor from last
year, have shown interest. He is accepting applications. They must be age 18 or
older.

6. Boy Scouts: Sam Espey and boy scout reps were not at meeting. They are
planning on planting a tree at Ashley Park. They will attend a future meeting.

7. Next meeting: May 8, 2018 at 5:30 at City Hall.
