 Preference will be given to applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree/ Masters Degree
with a CGPA of 3.0 and above or its equivalent
 Applicants with a CGPA of 3.7 and above can apply directly for a PhD programme

English requirement for international applicants:-

 A band 5.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic);
or
 A score of 550 paper based total, a score of 213 for computer-based total or a
score of80 for internet-based total for Test of English as a Foreign Language
(TOEFL).

Special Requirements for admission into the Master of Architecture program are as follows:

Malaysian Students:
a) A Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Malaya with a minimum CGPA of at least
2.75 with relevant work experience for a minimum of 6 months after obtaining the degree; and pass
the portfolio review ; or
b) A Bachelor of Science/Arts in Architecture or equivalent from any university approved by the Senate as
equivalent to a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Malaya with Honours with a
CGPA of at least 3.00; and
i) fullfill the requirements of the Malaysian Board of Architects (LAM) Part I;
ii) have relevant work experience for a minimum of 6 months after obtaining the degree;
iii) pass the portfolio review.

International Students:
a) Obtained other qualifications which are equivalent to the University of Malaya General Requirements
and Special Requirements for the program which have been approved by the Malaysian Government
and the University of Malaya Senate; and

2) Two years post registration clinical experience in Dentistry; and
3) Qualifies for registration as a dental practitioner under the Malaysian (RM) Dental Act; and
4) Local applicant must possess at least a score of 4 for MUET; whilst International (USD) applicant must possess a
score of 550 for paper-based total, a score of 213 for computer-based total for TOEFL; or a band 6 for IELTS; and
5) Fulfil the requirement for admission by the relevant department responsible for the programmes of study.
Admission Requirements (Research Programme - Masters):
1) Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent degree in Dentistry, or
2) Bachelor’s Degree with honours in any science discipline; and
3) Local applicant must possess at least a score of 4 for MUET; whilst International (USD) applicant must possess a
score of 550 for paper-based total, a score of 213 for computer-based total for TOEFL; or a band 6 for IELTS.

1) Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Medicine or Dentistry field of study; and
2) Local applicant must possess at least a score of 4 for MUET; whilst International (USD) applicant must possess a
