INTRODUCTION

The importance of working from the location of a company goes beyond just being

geographically located at any point. The more precise geographical location allows us to

carry out operations in a better way; This is a decision as important for the company as it

is for the community with which it will have direct and indirect contact. The

competitiveness of the same will depend on the location of a CEDI or plant; the

mobilization of both financial, material and human resources and this will replicate

positively or negatively in it.

 Understand the importance of the geographical location of a company or CEDI.

 Make a graphical model of the location of the logistics network

 Understand the different variables that comprise the geographical location of the

organization or the CEDI

 Incorporate and know the English language applied to the georeferencing of the

logistics network

1. The location of a CEDI is the process of choosing a geographical place among

several to locate the headquarters of a company and from there perform the

operations of an organization. Many variables will depend on the location of a CEDI,

such as competitiveness, productivity, financial movements, productive capacity,

government benefits; what will directly affect it.

Of these variables determine the success of the operations and the organization

as such, thus conditioning the amount of product or service to offer or obtain.

The location of the CEDI of the electric vehicle company Ltda. Was a decision

based on the strategy and vision with which we see the company in order to offer

a quality service and also thinking about the benefits. Also taking into consideration

that our company offers a service of transport and distribution of goods at national

level.

Due to the above, the company is located in the city of Bogotá. However, for the

location of our main CEDI, we took into account the rapid response, the production

costs, the facilities to grow, as well as the facility to acquire raw materials, supplies,

and public services available.

Our customers are companies that market medicines and food, being in the city of

Bogotá in different locations, we decided to locate our CEDI in a central area such

as Puente Aranda and thus achieve timely reach the needs of our customers.

2. The current geographical location of the CEDI is in the Cra 20 # 68C 57 in the town

of Puente Aranda in the city of Bogotá D.C, and thus our customers are located:

CONCLUSIONS

It is very important to determine the type of inventory to carry out the processes to be

implemented and the execution plan since there are many actors involved in the chain

such as planning, purchasing or obtaining, receiving, storage, production, shipping and

accounting and for So if you do not take a proper control can lead the company to lose

customers who feel unhappy miscalculation in the financial losses demand and can even

lead to bankruptcy a poor control of inventories.
