Why Women Position on the Social is Subordinate with the Men ?

Feminist have some perspective on answering this question, we can examine why
women are subordinated with three perspective that are Liberal Feminist, Radical Feminist and
Socialist Feminist Perspective.

Liberal Feminist coined that the subordinate condition amongst women and men caused
by the gap of distribution of rights and chance on social that normally and naturally the women
should have the equal right with the men, in fact women facing some obstacles in order to raise
their right caused by so m any factors such as the habitual limitating the women’s chance
weather in education, career etc. Beside that, the pressure on the biological differences also
become the cause of the women subordination coined by the Liberal Feminist. Liberal feminist
always put a highlight on the civil right equality between men and women. Women should
have an acces on economy, education and politics in the same weight with men. On their
practice liberal feminist want to have some matter that have been had by men included
masculinity that sometimes society sees this is a good norm. liberal feminist against the gender
division and accept gendered notion of power. The power in this context in connotation on the
masculinity attributes such as aggression, ambition, strength dan rationality. Liberal feminist
assumed that the state reflected the political group plurality. All of group included women
potentially have an equal access toward some power. If in fact that women tend to have no
equal rights, it is reflecting that the state mostly influenced by the men rather than women. This
condition can be changed with the reformation to do intervention an encourage the role of
women to fix the gender gap. State should facilitate the women development in education,
same wage between men and women employee.
 In the second perspective is Radical Feminist, the reason why the women subordinated
is because the men trough its patriarchal culture has dominated the body and the women’s
thought. The patriarchal state become the facilitator of this domination. Instrumentalist
assumed that state is an agent or means used by men in order to defend the interest and
patriarchal structure. In other hand, structuralist assumed that institution trapped in the
patriarchal social structure. Structuralist radical feminist assumed that the concept of walfare
state also only a new form or patriarchal system.

The last perspective to explain why women subordinated is from the socialist feminist
that coined this subordination caused by the capitalist production and private right tends to
make men as the successor of some position. Thee is a division between home and workplace
and also private and public. Socialist feminist propose to eradicate the private ownership
system and the capitalis production mode. Socialist feminist also argue that the state reflecting
the class structure that makesthe capitalist in the very first position and encourage the divison
on society in public sector that is production that fulfilled by thean that private sector only have
a function as the pushing of the production sector that fulfilled by women.
