JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POSITION OF SENIOR RESEARCH EXECUTIVE

Location:- Manchester Office

Reporting to:- Head of Research

Job Purpose:- Manage the successful delivery of research projects;


undertake research design, data collection and analysis
and produce insightful, stimulating reports. To manage
the research team as and when necessary. To lead and
deliver strategic projects for the team.

Main Duties:

To:-

1. Manage, design and deliver research projects;


2. Manage accounts;
3. Lead and contribute to consultancy and research projects, meeting
business plan targets for days sold;
4. Line-manage the research team as and when necessary;
5. Contribute to business development/ business winning activities for the
Company;

1.1 As a Research Executive

Specific Duties:

6. Project manage the delivery of projects, working with project teams to


ensure delivery on time and on budget, to a standard that delights our
clients;
7. Design quantitative and qualitative research tools and methods;
8. Conduct primary qualitative research and source secondary research;
9. Analyse, interpret, report and deliver qualitative and quantitative data.
This includes producing reports and other final outputs of projects (e.g.
client presentations);
10. Help to develop and maintain our positive relationships with clients,
acting as the main point of contact on your projects;

11. Lead delivery of the research team strategies, including developing,


agreeing and prioritising projects within this area and advocating for
them through SMT;
12. Take an active part in / lead workshops and other collaborative sessions
to analyse and model findings and develop conclusions;
13. Contribute to the development of new products, evaluation
tools/methods and improved systems;
14. Work as part of the team to meet objectives and targets of the business
plan, using established internal processes. Meet business plan targets
for days sold;
15. Keep up to date with research techniques and new ways of thinking in
the sector;

1.2 As a Line Manager

Specific Duties:

16. Manage recruitment and HR processes for this team as and when
necessary, as per HR strategy, including managing appraisals,
performance management and continuing professional development;

1.3 As a senior member of staff with responsibilities for business


development

Specific Duties:

17. Participate in product and market development initiatives, horizon


scanning, identifying opportunities, writing proposals, pitches,
networking and partnership building;

1.4 Other duties

required to undertake work in other cities and countries as and when
requested;
19. Undertake other such reasonable duties as required by the Directors.
