Woosh Bam:

Topics/Skills: Focus, strategy, creativity

Supplies:

 NA

Objective: To be able to carry out the various actions and adapt to the changing circumstances
of the game.

Time:

 20-30 minutes

Activity:

1. Have participants gather in a circle


2. Paint the picture that there is an imaginary track that runs throughout the circle.
3. Their objective is to keep the imaginary ball moving on the tracks at all times.
4. Provide them with a breakdown of the motions to keep the ball on the track (provided
below)
5. When a participant does not respond appropriately to the commands of their
teammates they are out for that round.

Commands:

- Woosh – Motion – Pushing ball with open hand - Ball is pushed on the track in the same
direction
- Bam – Motion – Palm facing ball (think of the palm as a wall) – Ball direction is
reversed.
- Ramp – Motion – Open palm at 45 degree angle – Ball skips over the next person in line
- Double Ramp – Motion- Double open palm (creating a super ramp) – Ball skips over
the next two people in line
- Sling – Motions – Palms together pointing at a person across the circle (that is the
person you are slinging the ball to). The ball gets passed across the circle, but continues
the same motion it was going before ball got slung.
