This position is needed to ensure E4/ E45 plant, including its employees, comply with all safety requir

ements, ensure all safety requirements are deployed and carryout monitoring on regular basis and hel
p to implement & sustain corporate/ BU safety projects like (SIF assessment, LIFE campaign, etc.).

Principle Accountabilities:

1.Carry out safety inspection on regular basis.


Carry out daily walkthrough inspection in the plant. Focus on the high risk areas like scrap yard, spent
earth yard, boiler, workshop, fabrication yard, SP yard, etc.
Carry out monthly inspections for portable tools, first aid box, safety harnesses,
Carryout quarterly inspections for all ladders, scaffolds.
Carryout safety inspections for any new equipment s brought to the site for any operational / project p
urpose at any time.
Ensure Weekly EHS site safety inspection for all construction sites in E4/ E45 conducted by project te
am. Coach as per the need and involvement in the inspection is mandatory.
Prepare the housekeeping schedule and ensure the inspections are conducted in timely manner.
Carry out plant inspection (General condition inspection) on monthly basis as per the schedule.
Carry out the Mobile equipment inspections on need basis.
All the inspections to be documented and get it reviewed from the Asst. EHS manager on monthly bas

2.Carryout safety induction for contract workforce


Carry out safety induction for contractor workforce as per the business need.
Quality of the induction to be maintained so that contractor understands all requirements.
Emphasis on key risk as per the job scope.
Post evaluation to be conducted after the induction and only the candidates who pass shall be approv
ed for the work by issuing the ID card. (Only for the contractors performing high risk work like fabricati
on, electrical, etc.)

3.Safety briefing to contractors and employees


Ensure that each and every department carrying out the tool box talk on daily basis. (Physically verify
on weekly basis)
Participate in the employee & contractor tool box talk on daily basis. Min. weekly presence is required
in every depart tool box talk.
Help the departments by providing material / topic for the tool box talk.
Coach the department supervisors on the tool box topics issued for them to understand 100 % conten
ts.

4.Incident Investigation & Reporting


Min. 4 incidents to be reported on monthly basis.
Help the team in investigating the incidents and get to the root cause.
Coach the team / carryout awareness for the team in investigation techniques so that the quality of th
e report is maintained.

5.Behavior based safety observations.


Collect all the BBS cards and make reports on monthly basis.
Carry out BBS observations as per the target set on monthly basis.
Quality of the observation to be maintained.

6.Procurement & Payment


Make PR & take follow up with procurement team on firefighting spares required.
Processing of firefighting AMC bills & other safety related bills.

7.EHS training
Update EHS training database on regular basis.
Maintain EHS training records by doing proper filing on regular basis.

8.EHS documentation
Take follow up on the housekeeping inspections and update Action monitoring sheet .
Take follow up on the plant inspection findings and update Action monitoring sheet

9.EHS Rewards & Recognition


Ensure RR program is active by taking follow up with the RR committee.
Coach & Promote site team on RR nominations.

10.Relationship with manager / supervisor


Ensure complete support for compliance of EHS site goals.
Obey instructions from EHS manager / EHS supervisor without denying.
Execute the instructions in timely manner.
Assist site team in conducting GEHS internal audits once a year.

11.Emergency assignments
Additional responsibilities beyond the scope mentioned above to be fulfilled in case of any EHS team
members leave/ absent.

Minimum 2 years related experience in EH&S Programs, auditing and compliance. Deep knowledge
in these programs and/ or ability to achieve this knowledge level within 12 months.
Minimum of 3 years working directly in the operating environment ideally in the food manufacturing or
like industry.
Ideally candidate has a degree/ diploma in a technical field and direct experience in the EHS.
Should have advanced diploma in Industrial safety recognized by RLI.
Candidate must have English and Marathi language proficiency in writing, reading and speaking.
