Marketing Speech Presentation Reflection

On Tuesday, November 27, I had my third Independent Research Marketing Speech to

Ms. Galloway’s US History class. The class was a small one, about 10 students, so I felt that I

was able to make eye contact with all of the students and feel less pressured. Ms. Galloway was

very friendly and introduced me effectively so I was able to begin my presentation smoothly. My

presentation went well, as I hardly stumbled on my words, and I didn’t blank out on what I was

going to say. After my presentation, surprisingly, a few students had questions for me. This made

me realize there were some gaps in my research, and I need to clarify some topics more, and

make better connections between some information. However, some students asked questions

which I knew the answers to, and got satisfactory nods, and I was very pleased with helping to

clarify some areas. I felt a lot more comfortable after presenting in this classroom, mainly

because Ms. Galloway helped set up an effective introduction for me to begin my presentation.

Additionally, after my presentation, she elaborated on the benefits of this class by mentioning

that people could learn more by researching in this class, and that this class is beneficial for

college and running a business, which I am grateful for her saying.
