COLD ROLLED - HOLLOW SECTIONS
Imported HR sheet coils are cut into slits, which undergo various processes in the tube mills before they are
electro welded and shaped to the desired finished product. Square, Rectangular, Circled Hollow Sections upto
200 mm diameter and a thickness of upto 6 mm can be produced in our tube mills. Athi Steel has the capability
to produce lengths for all sizes to meet the customers requirements.
The tubes are produced both as Black and Galvanised.

Athi Casing - The Heart of the Well

Casing is large diameter pipe that is assembled and inserted into a recently drilled section of a borehole
and typically held into place with cement.

Purpose
Casing that is cemented in place aids the drilling process in several ways:
i. Prevent contamination of fresh water well zones.
ii. Prevent unstable upper formations from caving-in and sticking the drill string or forming large caverns.
iii. Provides a strong upper foundation to use high-density drilling fluid to continue drilling deeper.

Athi Steel provide special job galvanising and also manufacture galvanised pipes (water pipes).
Other galvanised products include, telecommunication and electrification transmission ATHI STEEL
