Installation material for the project is procured from different

Vendor: vendors e.g ducting galvanized sheet from PSL(Pakistan Steel
Limited) air devices from EAP (Engineering Air Products) and
Equipment from Daikin Malaysia which may be delayed for
unknown or unseen reasons or prices may fluctuate due to change
in dollar rates. All these risk may be counter by providing them
quotation earlier than the need and fixed price contract should be
done to control price.
7. Assumptions and Constraints
Site Mobilization
Mobilization of material, equipment and other resources to project site is a constraint, as
OLYMUS is a project of mall, so there were a lot of permissions, approvals and licenses
involved to mobilize the site within time.
Equipment Import
Major HVAC equipment has to be imported from USA & Malaysia, which is a time taking
process. Any change in HVAC design from the consultant related to HVAC equipment may
further increase the time for import and normal delivery of the equipment is 12-14 weeks.
Financial Issues
The project is awarded to M/S MIDJAC as a complete project, MIDJAC then awarded HVAC
works to MCPL. This involved a long chain of authorities in payment approvals, which in turn
caused delays in payments on time and maximum bill can be claimed more the 5million.
Funds Availability
The funds allocated for the project will be all time available.
Resource Availability
All the resources required to MCPL in execution of this project are highly skilled and MCPL will
ensure their availability in time of need.
Political Instability
Any political chaos or instability will not hurt the project works for the entire period of project.
Variations
All the redesign will be claimed as per variation and if the change in design is other than BOQ
will be quoted first.
