Dalrymple’s Seeding Progressing

Anniversary
Continued from Page 1

Despite the rush of clients that day, Barb assured

that they still have a lot of stock available for peo-
ple to enjoy, purchase and enjoy in their own yards
and gardens. Now that the May Long Weekend has
passed, most gardeners will concede that the danger
zone has passed, and it is now safe to put plants in the
ground without fear of frost.
Barb noted that some of the opening day best
sellers included flowering hanging baskets, daisies
and pansies. Many people also bought tomato plants.
Dalrymple’s Greenhouse began back in 1988 as a
very small operation. At the time, the Dalrymples
also had cows on a quarter section of land. When the
local creamery closed, they decided to focus more on
their greenhouse. Barb noted that every few years
they have added to their businesses which over the
years has grown to include four greenhouses, a tea
room and a beautifully landscaped park-like setting Photo by Darryl Holyk
which has been used for many photo sessions over
the years.
According to Barb, the biggest highlight she can
think of over the years was the 30th anniversary itself.
O ver the past few weeks, tractors have been stirring up
the dust in fields as another season of seeding is un-
derway. According to this week’s Manitoba Crop Report,
